More then anything else everyone calls that "socialism!" on the right. Turns out that when every other developed nation in the world does it, and we pay TWICE what they do for often worse care and insane medical debt?

Turns out that maybe we WOULD like some socialism. So when Republicans call it socialism, and everyone likes it.....turns out that you get poll results like this.
It's a mixed bag, but whether you're fully aware or not, you have a whole crapton of honest to goodness Marxists in the Democratic Party. They've gradually infiltrated the party and are gradually taking it over. True-believer Marxists are still in not the majority, but they're gradually pushing the Democratic Party further and further towards actual Marxism.

You don't have to actually believe that they're around, but if you want to save the Democratic Party from being completely hijacked, a whole lot of your more traditional Democrats are going to have to figure it out and do something about it.

But sure, social programs are a thing and no they're nothing to do with Socialism.

Socialized medicine like Obama care? Where's that "$2500 a year savings, keeping your Dr, and its not a tax?"
One Democrat lie after the next What next "shovel ready jobs, and the green jobs initiative"

Actually speaking out and pushing back would be a good start.

The longer the "moderate" Dems stay silent, the more the wackos have the spotlight....and the megaphone.

There's many different colors of socialism, how do we know what color of socialism that's preferred?

It surprises people that's there's billionaires in any number of socialist countries in Europe. If Cuba was a true socialistic country there'd be billionaires living there.

Actual Socialism -- IE seize and collectivize the means of production and forcibly make everyone equal. Punish the "haves" and give their stuff to the "have nots".

The thing that inevitably happens when some nation or another tries to do Actual Socialism: The Revolution gets hijacked by evil people. The nation inevitably becomes authoritarian. Millions of people end up dying.

A whole lot of Millenials and Zoomers have latched onto Actual Socialism, thinking it just hasn't been done properly yet. They really do want to turn the USA into a Marxist Utopia. The founders of BLM, the creators of CRT, and every Antifa group out there are true-believer Marxists.

Nope. I am one hundred percent for Capitalism.
The problem is too many people on here consider everything "Socialism' or 'Communism".
Some even consider Social Security and Medicare Socialism. Or Affordable Care Act. Or public Education.

I don't.
Just more Faux news propaganda.

Not sure about all of this.

Most of those dopey college kids that want socialism/communism would not last 15 minutes in a REAL communist country.

They stupidly think socialism/communism means Sweden or Norway....when in reality....it means Cuba or China.

For the life of me I don't know why corporations want to be political. It seems to me it would kill their business. I will never get an American Express card for their political views. I had been thinking about it.

Back in the day, we'd buy a washing machine, and 12-20 years later it's still working as advertised. I still have a refrigerator in my basement that was built in the 1980s using the old freon, (R12?) That frig still works fine today. It gets the fresh food section to 33 degrees and the thermostat is only at halfway. It's out lasted two of the energy compliant types. Cue federal mandates on energy compliance to create washing machines that break because government made it impossible to make a quality washing machine which people can afford.
