Walker is an extremely high achiever. Born and raised in Georgia, educated at the U of G ... he’s everything that many young black Georgia men aspire to be. He has been a fine role model throughout his adulthood. Gonna be hard to kick him around.

Romney had also kept a residence in Utah and visited often. Truth be told his ties to Massachusetts were already thinning when he rand for President since he was out of the Statehouse and spent more time at the NH, Utah, and CA (home of the infamous car elevator) homes. I think he ran as an MA resident because his political background was being being Massachusetts Governor. The OOs were humorous as the two '96 potential first ladies (Clinton and Dole) ran for Senate from states where they were not true residents.

On the Walker front- I don't see being a good fit with most Atlanta area voters unless they are diehard GOP or UGA. Atlanta is as much a six county region as a city at this point and it is very forward moving. I would guess the majority of residents of all stripes were not even Ga residents when Walker was a big name there.

Walker's candidacy is powerful as it eliminates the left's efforts to make this race about the "GOP's effort to remove a black senator" No, Walker isn't going to gain more black supporters for the GOP than usual. But his candidacy--should he win the nomination--won't bode well for the left's efforts to galvanize black Democrat voters in order to keep a black American in the Senate.

He's also well-liked.

This campaign will be very interesting.

When did that ever hold back a politician? Trump and Biden aren’t known for their oratory skills either.

There are fiscal conservatives and there are social conservatives. They are not mutually exclusive.

And even socially conservative doesn't automatically equal pro-traditional marriage, etc. or being anti-LGBT rights. There is a spectrum of social conservative values. And values evolve over time, to boot.

Hersch would need to win the GOP primary before he goes against Warnock in the general election. The GOP primary has 4 candidates right now and a few more are expected to join the race. It's questionable, at best, as to whether Hersch could win the GOP primary.

Let me say this warnock is no man of the cloth . He is definately a racists and anti military . I hope whoever runs against him wins . However stacey abrams needs to get out of politics because she does not have the exp or the chops to make things happen .

Eh. While I always say take polling for what you will at this point (and acknowledging that anything can happen), but he is the overwhelming favorite to win the nomination based on current polling that I've seen. To be fair, though, there is only one recent poll for this race that I've seen.

Yes, this is called libertarianism, not conservatism... Conservatism traditionally is socially conservative and economically liberal... Any derivation of this does not come from conservatism.
