My question is if youre vaccinated why do you care about so much about someone elses vaccine status?
TBH I think deep down, they don't trust the vaccines bc they were brought to market under Trump. If the vaccines were conclusively effective, other people's vaccination status is pretty much irrelevant.
I only see one side of the debate attempting to force their will on others while the majority of the other side appears to be 'leave me alone'. There are nutjobs on both sides, but that seems to be the general consensus IME.
It goes both ways. Anti-vax people aren't innocent here. When you look at reasons why either camp behaves the way they do, you'll find just as many reasons for the other camp... and they feed off of each-other which amplifies it.
Exactly. How many antivax people on here said that "Gates is behind COVID and trying to chip us."? There have been quite a lot of this. This is not as simple as a "difference of opinion" but rather ignorance and conspiracy theory. Also I have heard a number of antivax or at least antiCOVIDvax people on here claim that "well maybe if you don't get vaxed, your employer could let you go because it is a free market" is "violent." Other have said that vaccine or mask mandates are not the free market...
Am I saying the vax side is not without fault, no. The issue is compared to antivax or antiCOVIDvax, the vax side are kitty-cats.
Zealots.
From gentle but steady media push, they learned how to shame those, who do not wish to take COVID vaccine (no anti-vaxxers, actually) and then became zealots. They are "better" that "those others". They "belong to".
And, as any zealousy, it ends in burning "those others" at stake.
Yes, karma it is. Though they don't realize that karma is blind and goes both ways.

Have you seen the massive co-ordinated social media campaign by Anti Vax people to spread confirmed lies. With the intention of misleading people to join their conspiracies? Agreed they are nutjobs, but it sure isn't isolated.
Agree the other extreme is equally active and often rude.
The leave me alone crew are the people in the middle.

The problem is many who are not typically antivax are using traditionally antivax arguments as to why they don't want the COVID vaccine. Refer to my previous post about "Gates gonna chip us."
