I know right...how darte him stick to the issue at hand and fcous on FEMA and the hurricane. Is that what we want from leadership....no -- we want them to rant about ratings and coffeve.
Not answering questions about the Afghanistan situation might be OK under the circumstances - but he said he was INSTRUCTED to not take questions. He's the boss - he's not supposed to take orders from anyone. That's the issue. And just a day or two ago, he said he was INSTRUCTED to call on the NBC reporter. That's not kosher.
Without the hurricane, ducking questions everytime he's behind the podium is indeed a problem.

Ducking questions, doing as he was "instructed" and disrespecting the families during the Dignified Transfer by looking at his watch. I'm over him.
Well -- he WAS in a strange place, so I suppose he gets a pass on that one. Can't say that about him wandering around the White House lawn a few days ago though.

That sums it up perfectly. He is being led around on a leash. This is elder abuse.
It would be like taking questions about the hurricane at the Dignified Transfer Ceremony -- not the right time.
That absolutely is the right time for a question about something of national importance. A presser on a hurricane and the Dignified Transfer Ceremony are two very, very different things.
I think he has answered a few questions, this was not the right time with a Cat 4 hurricane approaching.
Just be glad he didn't use a sharpie and change the course.
Oh, indeed. Tell Ida to veer back into the Gulf, yet. He's the president - he can make the weather whatever he wants it to be - with the stroke of a pen (or sharpie)!!!
He actually said he wasn't taking questions on Ghanistan. Just a stutter though.
