So profoundly WRONG you are! There is great demand for labor by immigrants, legal or not. When the manager of a local Mexican restaurant got into big trouble for smuggling in workers from Mexico, he was asked why he did that. His reply was because they work harder.
Further more, immigrants not being U. S. citizens can not vote in federal elections. If they are anyway, then why the hell aren't Republicans raising hell about it?
You couldn't have it more backward.
Greedy employers wanting immigration for cheap labor is not a reason for us to allow immigration.
It's a reason for us to prevent it.
The reason the government allows immigrants to come here and work as cheap labor is that the government wants them here to cancel out the votes of the neighbors. The employers are just scumbag profiteers taking advantage of policies put in place for other reasons. They are not the initiators of the policy.

Honestly, the right was pretty confident Trump was going to win. And if you mean myopic in that's all they could see or say -- yeah we were being hit hard on this board with Trump's ability to win. Republicans have a shot because Democrats never know when to stop. For every voter Dems gain through demographic engineering they lose one who is aghast at their ever more extreme leftist, racist pandering. So the parties remain relatively even strength.
The Right hasn't won a popular vote in decades and the electoral college will ultimately be controlled by the left as more red states turn blue
