And I'm not arguing it doesn't. Having a higher BMI does have a moderate risk. But the data clearly shows that age and having comorbidities is a higher risk than simply having a high BMI.
Having a high BMI isn't the same as being morbidly obese.
As for age and comorbidities, I'm pretty sure in many, if not most, of those cases that morbid obesity is also a factor. If you look at the list of comorbidities on the CDC website, many of them are the result of unhealthy lifestyles. Poor eating habits, lack of exercise, smoking and diabetes - all part of an unhealthy lifestyle that make the virus more deadly.
There are certainly factors that are beyond someone's control, like cancer, type 1 diabetes, etc. But we've had almost two years to lick this virus, and to push the vaxx, while ignoring the other risk factors, is wrong.
Yes it is. We Blacks are disproportionately dying because we are disproportionately obese, not because COVID is racist.
I find interesting that "trust the science" means something until science shows something they don't like. There are increasing studies that show fat is a great place for the virus to replicate and those who are obese have far greater viral loads.
Also, black people, obese people, and the elderly are fare more likely to be vitamin D deficient. Being black and obese really puts you at risk.

Umm what? Morbid obesity is diagnosed by determining Body Mass Index (BMI). Class III obesity, that is, a BMI over 40, is extremely obese.

I do, and the data that comes out of the CDC clearly shows that those in the higher risk categories are those that are elderly and those with comorbidities, not having a high BMI.

Um no, obesity is not the driver of COVID 19 as data from the CDC and other sources clearly shows. Obesity is only driving this epidemic if you ignore the data.
Im getting the impression from your air of dietary superiority that you'd happily commit people to food reeducation camps to be malnourished to death if you thought you could get away with it.
I don't think we needed a pandemic to prove this did we? Open your eyes and have a look round town.
