Jim Webb, democrat. I was ready to vote for him over Trump and vote democratic party for the first time but the democratic party disowned him basically as they are the party of leftists now.

If I were a republican president I would want him in my administration

You can't separate one from the other.

He is both patriotic hero and traitor.

Traficant was different for sure.

Dennis Kucinich was another one who strangely might have had a couple ideas I wouldn't have been against.

I actually voted for Ralph Nader in 2004 (as a "protest" vote against both parties, I hated Bush and Kerry so much at that point).

When I look to the left... I ask myself is there anyone who has a graceful intellect? even if their views are ideologically different than mine. Jimmy Carter had that... and he was a terrible president, a horrible president.

So It appears I'm left with (no pun intended) ... people of the cloth or those who do charitable work.

Agreed.

It's hard enough as it is for us conservatives to find admirable people on our side of the aisle these days. So many RINOs and fakes it hurts.

Once upon a time, things were that the party was unimportant and I could go with who did the job. Hence, there was Henry B. Gonzales and John Tower.

Traficant was as crooked as the day is long. Which is not unusual.

I interviewed him once in my reporter days. He's smart as a whip, has a lot of common sense, and is a really nice fellow.
