I'm wondering how the lawn crews who cut 10+ yards a day are going to handle this when they can no longer buy replacement mowers. Battery powered mowers aren't feasible for them. Will probably be a black market with goods coming from out of state.
(Tongue in cheek)
Naaah, California will just import more illegal migrants, pay them a pittance and give them all push mowers.
Why does the outrage machine always leave out important details? Details which are found in the linked article.
This law takes effect in 2024, or whenever feasible, whichever date is later. California is also going to subsidize small businesses to help them retool. This is the first step in an effort to move to lower emission items, which is a great goal.

you really have no clue...or know how to do crap...do you?
charge up one of those toys and go to work....see how long it lasts...and how many backup batteries you have to carry to do a days work
...then figure out where to put those batteries when they crap out on you and have to be chucked
Oh, that's rich. What are people supposed to do when there's no power because they converted everything to solar and wind?
You should see the existing permitting process in San Diego County for the installation of a backup generator, you will be astounded and disgusted.......even more so when they were written at the direction and adopted by a 4-1 Republican majority in the County Board of Supervisors.
