He simply was not good enough to over come his stupidity. I don't like seeing people blackmailed into resigning their position but some people are stupid enough to get in that spot, they are likely stupid enough to play along...

All I can say is it seems every decision anyone in that loser state makes is wrong. Didn't anyone vet this guy? It's not like this guy's anger issues were a secret.

Nevada?

When your nickname is "Chucky" named after that crazy, evil doll. Well should any of this be a surprise?

Its a business making this decision. An employee of a business cannot just say whatever they want when part of their job is representing that business. Especially a high profile head coach. I am sure in his contract there is certain conduct he was required to uphold. Pushing the censorship and fascist card is silly.

Get a T-shirt made with all of Grudin's comments on them and wear it to work. See how that goes. You just cannot say or demonstrate anything you want anywhere you want and not expect ramifications.

And dumb enough to put it all in emails.

Gruden called NFL commissioner Roger Goodel a “faggot” and a “clueless anti-football *****.”

He voiced his opposition to the league’s pressuring of Rams’ coach Jeff Fisher to select “queers.”

Well aside from well earned, if mis-worded criticism of Goodel, if you are going to do something....do it well.

Curious about the NFL trying to hold him accountable for something done when he was not an employee or representative....I wanna see THAT argument.

To be honest, and I am as big a football fan as anyone, it is likely time for the NFL and MLB and NBAA to go the way of the dodo bird.

May as well fire every person, black, white or blue for their same comments and words.

Use the wrong pronoun and lose your job.

About time to grow thicker skin and realize people say things that may offend the activists and media that everyone else shrugs off.

When baseball and BB sell out America to China and suffer no consequence, Gruden's faux pas falls to the bottom of priorities.

Yawn. Please list all those people that had the resources to buy a franchise. Right now Jay Z IS being considered. Other than that, I don't know any Blacks that have been denied ownership based on skin color, but not having the money is a pretty good reason. Keep reaching.

Gruden is not a victim.

He has a history of doing this. He made it uncomfortable in the locker room.

I knew long ago - when he was coaching Tampa Bay - there was something underneath that smirk….and it was not good.

There is no defending this.

Now get rid of Urban Meyer.

Raider Nation is not the only one that goes to Raider games (especially in Vegas). Raider Nation is not the only one that watch Raider games. Keep thinking this has nothing to do with the money and the black eye it would give them to keep Gruden on board. Amazing how little business sense many have on this board.
