I purchased at the very tippy top of the market. Within months, my home dropped in value by over 20% and continued to decline slowly for a couple more years. The only good news is that I sold my previous house at the tippy top of the market as well, so the shellacking I took was minimized. Still, it was by far the worst financial decision I've ever made.

I think we are all being forced to "Lower our Expectations". The Democrat elected are actually miserable people that are trying to knock America down from her perch of exceptionalism. They think the American Dream is something only white people can enjoy but as Trump showed us, a rising tide lifts all boats but of course they hated him for allowing us to enjoy that Dream again while waking up the downtrodden to the fact that they do not have to feel oppressed.

Of course the Biden Bunch tells us that the rich will be paying more but we all know that it is the Middle Class that will be hit the hardest. We always are the pawns in the Democrat schemes.

The Dems want us to lower our expectations because us Americans have had it too good for too long so they open the borders, keep us clamped down with covid, and their way of dealing with the supply chain problems and rising prices on everything is to tell us to get used to it.

Jimmy Carter once said in response to the rising price of heating our homes in the Winter "Put on a Sweater" and he has gone down in History as the worse President ever. Biden is now winning that distinction and we have 3 mores years of this mess...

I know when something is negative and insulting.
So, your position is that nobody should ever say anything negative or insulting about the POTUS? Seriously? Some of this is comedy gold. Baby Trump, "orange man", Brandon. It's just funny. Chillax.

What's not funny is when people throw around terms like racist, pedophile, rapist, etc., with no proof whatsoever. Both sides are guilty of this.

I've been driving much less. I walk when I can, since many of my trips are under 1 mile. It's getting colder now, and it won't be long before it's snowing, so I may have to stop doing that. I've cut back quite a bit on meat consumption. Probably will cut back on beer, or start brewing my own again.
We sold our second car. We also drive less. And fast 1/2 day one day a week. I'm in CA, here the gas is 5 dollars per gallon. It might be 6 around Easter. Not good.

Anyway, people will still vote for Biden/democrats here. We'll see next year the elections for midterm. The democrats will probably win again.

I actually admire the courage it took to stand your ground on this. Unfortunately, even courageous decisions can have negative consequences. That's part of what makes them courageous. I sincerely wish you the best of luck in finding a new job.
Semantics aside, I'm more than angry.

I'm lucky enough to have the means to choose what's right for me.

Good luck to you.

We all need some luck.
Just so annoying to see someone not seeing their own role in their outcomes.

Inflation hasn't really affected me much, i bought cryptocurrencies as a hedge for inflation, it might be dumb luck, but so far its working.

I've realized that the mainstream media is even more propagandizing than I first thought.

The media's evolving narrative on inflation under the Brandon Administration:

1) There will be no inflation and that is good.

2) There is no inflation and that is good.

3) The inflation is transitory and that is good.

4) Inflation is here and that is good.

The current inflation would never have been as bad if Trump had only quickly and decisively acted to combat Covid back at its very beginning. His failure created it.
