Glad she is out of the hospital and will be able to celebrate Christmas. Sad that those who died weren't as fortunate.

Indeed.

Slightly off-topic but Waukesha really needs this now?

A 14-year-old boy allegedly carjacked and raped an 87-year-old woman at the Waukesha Public Library while she was returning her books. It has been reported by Wisconsin Right Now that the boy is the nephew of Cavalier Johnson, who is running for mayor of Milwaukee.
Current Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett has been appointed to an ambassadorship in Luxembourg, and upon his departure, Cavalier will be the acting mayor.
Some said it could be a gang initiation.

I really don't know what to know who did it. Being a Black male, the last thing I need is another Black male committing rape. I've got enough to deal with, without that going on. If this was a Black male, well, I don't think I'll be making a visit to Waukesha at the moment.

I had the possibility of a job in Waukesha one time. I had no idea this kind of stuff could happen there. I hope that both the 14 yr. old rapist and the POS scum who drove through the parade spend the rest of their lives in prison

Waukesha actually has a low crime rate in spite of the recent events.

My father is a Milwaukee native, and I don't mind cold weather myself. I feel like a part of me belongs to Wisconsin because of my father. I came close to taking a job in Waukesha (I took another job elsewhere). On the other hand, when I start reading that Wisconsin has some of the worst statistics regarding Blacks, it raises a few eyebrows. And after this tragedy (and the rape that took place), I started thinking "it's going to be an uphill battle in terms of Black men's reputation in the Milwaukee area. I'm wondering at this point what I'll be walking into".

Does anyone flee a knife attack by plowing a car through a crowd?
