If it walks like a duck... fact is I have had people who lived under Communism tell me that they are seeing it and they came here because they never thought America could become Communist. They are very emotional because of the fear they lived from their own government.
Afraid of their neighbors, afraid to speak, afraid of their own hostile thoughts about their own government living with the hate that they had to endure being told constantly how to think . It is real and maybe if you talked to some who lived under communism , you could get a grasp on what the reality is of what is going on in this country right in front of us.
Looks like those that back this communistic spending bill that wants 87,000 new IRS workers coming after you. There are not enough rich people to audit , they are going after everyone. This is Communism.
Taxing us , looking at what we own . This song is more prevalent today than years ago.

So you say there is no red flags in our government , no freedom attacked , no propaganda media, no fake elections, no election laws change last minute illegally, no power grab , no freedom of speech has been silenced, no entity to cancel, or intimidate. No IRS or FBI political moves, No one taken out of their homes in the middle of the night heavy handed to people who are non violent but done because of pure political reasons.
No police state which political thought is not attached to witchhunts. No jailing of political prisoners in solitary confinement for low level crime. No shooting and murdering of unarmed people at the Capital. No allowing of burning , killing and murdering in the name of Marxism. No murdering of police sitting in their cars. No inciting to hate this country . Sure I could go on and on but you don't see any of the red flags of Socialist movement .
Russia called themselves Socialists but they were totalitarian Communists.

For "not being a leftie" you sure seem to defend communism on pretty much every thread you can get it in there. And trash liberty in the process--because they are 180 degrees out of phase.
Regardless, you seem to be afflicted with the same syndrome the typical lefty has. I call it the "That's Not Communism Syndrome." Fine. It's our species best attempts over the years. And it has ended in disaster the majority of the time. At some point, you would think folks would get a clue and say, "Oh... after those two hundred million deaths in the attempt, perhaps communism is a failed, non-workable economic/social system."
But they don't. Thus the "This Time It Will Work Syndrome" (TTIWWS).

In your very first post in this thread you came to communism's defense by reciting at typical leftist college professor's version of what communism is. We both know that is not the way it works in practice (since you claim to not be a leftist).
I provided a more practical definition from the dictionary. State control of production. That is de facto where we are heading. Which of course continues to metastasize and becomes a police state. In a practical sense, communism as practiced is a form of police state. That, of course is the antithesis of individual liberty.

Here's a concept that perhaps you might wish to consider: there is no system that will work for both me and the "lefty" other than individual liberty. That gives me the freedom to make my own choices and the "lefty" the freedom to make his or her own choices. But, you see, that is not good enough for the "lefty." The lefty wants compliance to his or her will. THAT is why there is no solution besides divorce. Sometimes divorce is the best solution. This is one of those times. If you can put some real estate between the bully and bullied, there won't be any bullying besides amongst the bullies. Let the leftists bully each other (you know, like those guys you claim to have studied--Lenin and Stalin) and leave the rest of us out of it.
Of course, there is one other solution that works quite well in most cases: punch the bully in the nose and knock him on his ass. But I don't think any of us want that. So if we can't live together and we don't want to kill each other, the best solution is once again... a divorce.
