Cornell University reported 903 cases of Covid-19 among students between December 7-13, and a "very high percentage" of them are Omicron variant cases in fully vaccinated individuals, according to university officials.
They do not state what percent was Delta.

Now also Princeton:

More about Cornell:

“The school has reported 930 Covid cases in recent days, with almost all of the cases sequenced found to be of the new variant. Cornell has refused to say exactly how many of its diagnoses are Omicron, with US officials generally sequencing one in five PCR tests to determine which Covid variant a person has bee infected by.

School officials also report that all of the confirmed Omicron cases so far - for which they have not yet given a confirmed number - are in students who are fully vaccinated, and some have been boosted too. The school has closed campus as a result, and finals for the fall semester will now be held virtually.”

Two shots or prior infection apparently have little effect on the omicron variant. We will have a million cases a day or more in the US in a couple weeks. It's too late to get protection now. Unvaxxed and vulnerable - prepare to meet your maker.

The kids who got the shots solely because they were promised 'normal' were fools. Now they get endless boosters, a hell-scape of faceless atomized people, and remote 'learning.' All for the low price of 70 grand.

The Covidians will never let this go.

We have reports from South Africa that the variant causes symptoms similar to the common cold. But we will see as the new variant passes through the US and our relatively unhealthy, obese population.

Initial reports from the UK also show more mild symptoms but again early.

The vaccines AND masks....and they still have cases!

Better mandate boosters, goggles, gloves, and a sterile pod.

Or...maybe they stop ramming swabs up the noses of healthy young people.

Because RSA has had wave after wave and most people have had prior infection which is giving them milder cases. In the UK it is vaccinations doing the same. That will happen in the US as well as most people are vaxxed or were infected. But for those who did not get vaccinated and did not get a prior variant - well...???

I think we should all wear personal protective bubbles with a breathing tube and trap door for the lower region so that you can take care of business. That way, we will be sure.

The vaccines were to help reduce SEVERE infection or hospitalizations, never were to stop all infections. I understood this as a medical professional but the messaging to the public was horrible on rollout back in 2020.

I get why people are confused. You still see people in the media (both sides) explaining this wrong, although it's usually on purpose, in order to make some point that backs whatever political leanings they have.
