For people pining over how things "used to be", the Green M&M character wasn't even introduced until 1995.
Think about that.
It used to be a funny subtext that green M&Ms made you horny, and Mars got savvy and hitched their marketing wagon to it. WAY BACK IN 1995.
This isn't some old beloved icon like Aunt Jemimah or Uncle Ben that you're bidding an inexplicable tearful farewell to.
I know its a lot to ask of people on this joke of a forum, but have some friggin perspective already.
Heh heh. Yup.
Marketing changes all the time, especially with trends or attitudes. Remember when the world was buying one another a Coke (in a glass bottle, yummm) and hugging and all that? And Pepsi was the taste of a new generation and Hershey bars were all about sharing and Burger King was about having it your way and so on...I chose stuff from 50 years ago because folks...yeah, not a new concept.
I mean if anyone wants to be upset about how a piece of candy is being represented that is his or her prerogative but marketing is marketing and there you have it.

When I was a kid, you ate a green M&M when you were going to take the ball down-town!!
Except the shoe change that got FOX and Tucker riled up stayed. No more go-go boots.
Amazing how they so easily hurt feelings, especially by those that say they don’t watch/listen to Fox/Tucker

Didn’t watch the halftime show but saw a picture of her looking like she was checking to see if it was still there much like the clowns during last years SB show…and I’m a fan of a few of those from last years show, but constantly grabbing themselves was as hilarious as it was ridiculous.

The only hurt feelings seems to be Tucker and the talking heads at FOX. No need to be a viewer/listener since both were posted earlier in the thread.
