Everything changes. Even Charlie Brown characters changed their look over time and that was what, 60 years ago? The Gerber baby's look changed, was that a signal of the crazed 50s that were out of control?

Brand names get truncated..logos change...things become modern, or should everything stay 20th century forever?

This world has a real problem or two and you're worried about candy?

Makes you wonder what woke liberal lunatic at Mars thinks this stuff up and why they think it matters.

Uh, probably somebody in marketing, who thinks change matters because everything changes?

That's my guess.

Exactly. It's amazing what people will wake up and get offended by.

Oh my God, they're changing the "personalities" of some animated candy characters! The horror.

The public discourse in this country gets sillier every day.

Blame media then since they are the ones making sure we're all paying attention to it. Also blame the shadowy figures that dangle prizes in front of CEO's for saying the right words in the right order, ESG, etc. I think it's a rule that it has to be made public or it doesn't count.

I don't care how Mars Inc advertises its products. They don't really need to advertise, because they're too darn good to give up. If Mars Inc stopped all advertising, I'd still buy my weekly supply of M&Ms Peanut.
Don't they have decision-makers on Earth?

Sad and hilarious that essentially Tucker Carlson saying the M&Ms animated characters aren't sexy enough for him anymore made them drop the characters.

The very smart one and probably not woke or liberal.

They literally created a ton of free publicity while tranistioning to a new ad campaign.

I don’t know about you all, but the big question on my mind is what type of sexual relationships these M&Ms have with each other

Honestly.....this is the most ridiculous thing I've read in a long time.

Okay, first off let me just say that I believe that I am generally a fairly sane individual. I mean sure, I know we all have our little quirks which make us unique (slightly crazy) but for the most part my marbles remain in a nice neat pile in my head. And for some reason, just reading this story makes me feel as if I'm listening to someone drag nails across a chalkboard.

How on earth did we, as a society, get to this point? Have we truly reached a point in our lives where stuff like this is worthy of our attention? Does this not strike the rest of you as utter insanity on the part of Mars, Incorporated? And if it does seem as insane to you as it does to me, then you must also realize this insane response to a non-existent problem was brought on by a group of even more insane people who actually had a problem with cartoon candy people!!!!!

What the hell is going on!!!! How can we ever fix any of our very real problems in this country when people are focusing their attention on ridiculous issues like this? M&M's are candy people. That's all they will ever be. And if you are actually crazy enough to let the shoes a cartoon candy character is wearing bother you, then you should absolutely seek professional help.

PS. I'm sorry for the rant. But I truly can not express just how sick I am of seeing stories like this. We have so many real problems in the world. It just makes me sick to think people are wasting their time on ridiculous issues like these.
You’re missing the point, my friend. This isn’t about craziness, or misguided attention to matters of zero importance … this is full scale mind control that comes in various forms and doses, from the overt, to the subliminal.

It’s military grade mind control and population manipulation. And whether you are among the brain dead masses who embraces this idiocy as normal, or remain capable of rational thinking and rejecting it for the insanity it represents (which you obviously are) the end result is the same. We are now divided into two groups … on one side, a group who have lost their capacity for rational thought, and the other .. a group of rational people who are now slowly becoming exhausted trying to cope with the idiocy that seems to surround them.

And that’s the point of all of it.
