No deaths yet to report, but at least three people have been taken to the hospital after a bridge collapse in Pittsburgh this morning. Police have warned of a natural-gas leak from the damage and warn people to avoid the area. CBS affiliate KDKA in Pittsburgh reports that surrounding homes and businesses have been evacuated and gas service turned off in the area:

It might be a problem or a blessing for Joe Biden, however, who had already planned to make a campaign swing of sorts in Pittsburgh today. Biden wanted to tout his win on the bipartisan infrastructure bill, which the collapse may highlight:

Everything associated with this President and his administration crumbles. What a perfect metaphor.

its great that our current Government is concerned on dealing with the real issue of equity in Infrastructure and not pesky repair work.

Uh the bridge has nothing to do with Biden.

Putin did it. We have to protect Bidens money laundering campaign in Ukraine instead of taking care of America.

The "Big Guy" gets 10% right off the top.

Weird coincidence that Biden is touting his infrastructure bill (which actually doesn't include fixing bridges but sounds like it does) and just in time he has a demonstration to point out. The only thing more obvious would be if it happened in the background as he gave his speech and collapsed on cue as he turned and pointed at it.

Agreed.
Both sides love blaming the president for everything that goes wrong, even issues that should've been addressed by the state/local level.

What better demonstration could there be to show the lack of stewardship this country has given our basic infrastructure?

From where the money is spent, looks like we prefer defense contractors to road and bridge contractors.

That collapse was G-d's will.
