No deaths yet to report, but at least three people have been taken to the hospital after a bridge collapse in Pittsburgh this morning. It might be a problem or a blessing for Joe Biden, however, who had already planned to make a campaign swing of sorts in Pittsburgh today. Biden wanted to tout his win on the bipartisan infrastructure bill, which the collapse may highlight:
Weird coincidence that Biden is touting his infrastructure bill (which actually doesn't include fixing bridges but sounds like it does) and just in time he has a demonstration to point out. The only thing more obvious would be if it happened in the background as he gave his speech and collapsed on cue as he turned and pointed at it.
What better demonstration could there be to show the lack of stewardship this country has given our basic infrastructure?
From where the money is spent, looks like we prefer defense contractors to road and bridge contractors.
That collapse was G-d's will.
