Aren't the Russians on the initial offensive here?? It's the Ukrainians that are on the counter-offensive.

Because your opponent has goaded you into discussing an ancient battle which was won by the Russians.
It keeps her from having to discuss current events.

As if that is even a justifiable defense of the shooter.

People like them often harm animals when they are younger. They are evil. They can never be fixed. They are dangerous to be living among other people.

It does not matter - both sides are tough (and Ukrainians had fortifications that they had time to prepare for eight years.)

But they had to fight for it for FOUR YEARS.

So what does it say about their enemy - i.e. the German army in this case?

This is the explanation in general why wars in Europe are different comparably to what you are used to think of - "The Desert Storm" and what not.

the way I see it, this is probably Russia's best chance for a victory claim and save face withdrawal if they can get complete control of the Donbas region..even then they will have to get Z to go along with it and he already said he would not..after this week or so, the tide will slowly turn I think to Ukraine's favor..
