Putin appears less stable mentally than he used to be in the most recent public appearances he has made. I would not be so sure he wouldn't risk nuclear war. I almost wonder if he isn't involved in some rather heavy drug use now.

BTW, if Putin orders a massive cyber-attack on a NATO country, shutting down the power grid, communications grid, shipping systems etc., people in that country could very likely die, especially in winter, as food supplies fail, heating apparatus fails, etc. That would be an act of war as lethal as a military invasion, of that NATO country. NATO Treaty Article 5 would directly apply.

Putin has been getting ready for World War III for ten years. Bunkers, Satan 2 supersonic missiles that carry many war heads.. Putin has worked daily on this for years.

People have noticed Putin is growing more and more paranoid. Mentally unstable.

One of Putin's generals would stage a coup. NATO is too strong for Russia to go up against.

This is a tag team event and Putin will tap China to finish the job.

Biden reduced the military budget, dumped non vaxxed experienced troops to weaken the military for a sure china/russia win

biden is financing Putin handing over the euro energy market and making the US dependant on rissian oil while instituting toothless sanctions on russian money..

biden is working with Putin. Putin has no downside to invading a nato country.

No one to stop putin and china.

How else would you propose averting a war, when players like Putin's Russia are actively making moves like they did a day or two ago?

It would have to be more than one... which might make it impossible.

Many of Putin's generals are selected, more for their unquestionable loyalty to Putin, than for their military acumen.

nuclear MAY be beyond even his mad reasoning ...I betting on EMP weapon (which would pretty much shut down NATO (including the USA) back to the stone ages)

In that case a war would not go well for them.

One would think these generals understand that 3 of NATO's members are armed to the teeth with nukes.

The Russians probably want a great many things. I doubt being vaporized is one of them.
