I agree. No major missteps by Biden so far. And he and the other world leaders have come together on this much better than expected.

The world went up in flames?

Hyperbole much?

poll is bogus, there's nothing that can be done - it's too late

What had to be done was not arming Ukraine and forcing Ukraine to respect the terms of the Minsk 2 accord

Putin is going to take most of Ukraine and there's nothing that anyone can or should do about it, lest we risk nuclear annihilation

Forget Ukraine, focus everything on Taiwan - that situation can still be salvaged

Biden does not buy oil. Traders and refineries do. They have been buying Russian petro products for nearly 30 years. This include the Trump years.

Thus far, this year, traders and refineries have not done so.

We can't go to war with Russia.

IMO Biden is handling this exactly right.
Why?

We have a vastly superior military...if we hit them hard enough and quick enough we can knock their nuclear weapons out and destroy them.

We could destroy their nation and end this if we wanted to...and we should destroy these evil bastards.

Russia invaded 2/24.

Reportedly, 200 Stinger Missiles were delivered this week.

I can’t be sure given I was not there to take delivery.

Biden has asked Congress for $ to buy/ send more war toys.

FYI, Putin is Mother Theresa compared to what the Saudis are doing to Yemen right now with our military equipment. Literal infant genocide

Nobody ever talks about Yemen because it doesn't fit anybody's agenda

I also think he is more worried about his poll numbers than he is actually doing the right thing. The right thing for him is what ever makes his poll numbers go up, unfortunately. Of course, he is not unique in this stance.. pretty much par for the course with any politician!
How might doing more or less reflect in polls?

What is this “ right thing” you speak of?

The US does not purchase oil. Traders and refiners do. Thus far, this year, they have taken a pass. No one seems to want to be “ that guy”.

That should have happened at the beginning of this. Its clear from the intelligence reports that the US Government have declassified that we knew what the plan was long before it happened.

We STILL arent doing the necessary to cut Russia off. STILL.

Beyond that we could have provided planes and drones to Ukraine before the invasion that would have given them a fighting chance. It is just insane that we have sat on our hands like we have.

None of that would be "Boots on the ground" or a direct action against Russia.
You seem to perceive there is a secret spigot somewhere in the US that can magically be turned on to create an immediate surplus of crude to sufficient to supply Germany and other countries.
