Sorry, but that’s a beyond stupid statement. Where is your proof that ALL male soldiers rape women?
Does it happen? Sadly yes, but in most Western Armies, you will either be shot or sent to a military prison for that crime and yes, most every male soldier knows. Believe it or not, I would say that 98%+ of all Western Soldiers have strong personal values and serve as protectors and not as violators.
By your statement I can tell that you have no experience or any real knowledge of any Western militaries.
Different for civilians during peace. When you are at war either side, your morals goes out the window. The only goal is to survive. When you get to that point very long, rape is part of war. Rape is the least of the sins in war. Starvation and diseases are worse. People eating each other to survive goes during war. It's crazy. That's why war is the most evil act on earth. You put human beings in the worst possible scenario in life to survive.
The subject of rape by US Servicemen in WW2 was researched by US sociology and criminology Professor J. Robert Lilly, who wrote a book on the subject caklled 'Taken By Force'.
During WW2 US took over Shepton Mallet Prison in Somerset in England, by the end of 1944 there were 768 US soldiers imprisoned, guarded by 12 US Army officers and 82 enlisted men.
Under the provisions of the United States of America (Visiting Forces) Act 1942, 18 American servicemen were executed at the prison: sixteen were hanged in the execution block and two were shot by a firing squad in the prison yard. Three of the hangings were double executions, i.e. two condemned prisoners stood together on the gallows and were executed simultaneously when the trap-door opened.
Those executed were all found guilty of serious crimes ranging from murder through to rape, however it should be noted that there were over a million US Service Personnel in the UK prior to D-Day, and the vast majority were very well behaved. Those who were not were dealt with by the US Military Police and faced Court Martial and prison or even execution. US Forces did therefore try to uphold strict discipline and had a zero tolerance policy in relation to those found guilty of serious offences.
Sadly the Sexual Assaults included -
Private William Harrison, a soldier of the United States Army Air Forces, was hanged on 7 April 1945 having been convicted by a court martial for sexually assaulting and strangling to death 7-year-old Patricia Wylie.
US Private Aniceto Martinez, a 24-year-old soldier, was hanged on 15 June 1945 was the last person to be hanged in the United Kingdom for the crime of rape. He was convicted by a court martial at Lichfield in Staffordshire for raping 75-year-old Agnes Cope in her home.
Sadly this always happens in War. It is the character of the Nation which will be tested in how the Russian Government reacts. If video or other proof can be provided which identifies the soldiers and the Russians do nothing that is telling.
During WW2, the US took over a number of barracks were taken over by US Forces, including Whittington Barracks which was home to the US 10th Replacement Depot.
The depot became "infamous" for its regime of brutality and the "cruel and unusual punishments of American soldiers imprisoned there.
"Prisoners were beaten with clubs, forced to carry out vigorous physical exercise for seven hours daily, and given only five minutes to eat meals. When notice was received of official inspections by visiting officers, prisoners thought likely to make complaints or with visible injuries were temporarily removed from the camp.
In 1946 a court martial was convened at Grosvenor Square, London, to inquire into allegations that nine guards and two officers had ill-treated prisoners at Whittington.
Three members of the US Staff based there were sentenced to three years hard labour and a dishonourable discharge and other enlisted men received prison sentences of lesser length. A L accused of ordering the punishments, pleaded that he was following orders from superior officers; he was fined $250 and reprimanded. In September 1946, at a court martial convened at Bad Nauheim, Germany.
Whittington Barracks is today, home to Defence Medical Services (DMS), and is the location of the Defence College of Health Education and Training.
It's very difficult to determine the validity of these claims in the fog of war. No doubt, Russian media is full of horror stories of Ukrainian soldiers too. Every war has claims of enemy soldiers doing unspeakable things, it's very difficult to know what's true and what isn't. Used to be the stories of babies being eaten by enemy soldiers in history. Dehumanize the enemy.
Yes this happens in war but some armies do it more than others. Russians are known for being the "best" at this, at least among white nations. You fight the Russians, you gonna get raped. It might even be a rule.
International Organisations are looking in to war crimes.
The UK has offered to help gather evidence on possible war crimes, which would include UK police and military analysis, specialist IT support and UK legal expertise.
