WASHINGTON — The Transportation Security Administration is extending the mask mandate on public transportation until April 18, according to a White House official and a TSA official
Yes Airlines are part of public transportation. They are private in profits only
Since Democrats are celebrating high gas prices and generally want to force all of us peasants onto public transportation anyway, they should also end the mandate, as a way to make public transit a little less miserable for everyone.
But, then again, Democrats love misery, so I can see why the mandate is extended. Yay for COVID theatre!
Can anyone honestly say that they are shocked at this?
States and local governments are dropping mask and vaccine mandates faster than a hot potato. Even Pelosi removed the mask mandates for Congress. This mandate is one of the last few that show who is in control.
Don't expect April 18th to be the last day you would be required to wear a mask. This extension is only to determine when they can remove the mandate.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will work with government agencies to help inform a revised policy framework for when the mask rules can be lifted during this time, said the White House official.
Why aren't they doing that now?
I am guessing that the guidelines will magically compute that the mandate can be lifted right around October, about a month before the Mid-Terms.
