Interesting. I am one who believes temps are warming because of humans but I don't think we should panic. Just allow the free market to sort it out.
It’s 70 degrees warmer than normal in eastern Antarctica. Scientists are flabbergasted.

The coldest location on the planet has experienced an episode of warm weather this week unlike any ever observed, with temperatures over the eastern Antarctic ice sheet soaring 50 to 90 degrees above normal. The warmth has smashed records and shocked scientists.

Eastern Antarctica’s Concordia research station, operated by France and Italy and about 350 miles from Vostok, climbed to 10 degrees (minus-12.2 Celsius), its highest temperature on record for any month of the year. Average high temperatures in March are around minus-56 (minus-48.7 Celsius).

At a nearby weather station, the temperature reached 13.6 degrees (minus-10.2 Celsius) about 67 degrees (37 Celsius) above average, according to University of Wisconsin Antarctic researchers Linda Keller and Matt Lazzara.

That's the key takeaway, here. That statement means that it's the highest temperature we've ever seen, not that it is the highest temperature it's ever been, because that's impossible to know. I have always believed that the climate is changing, but naturally. There's nothing we can do about this, so 'que sera, sera'.

the earth is dynamic and has its own time frame and agenda..seems humans are aghast at that fact and make up stories to bridge the gap in their knowledge. governments see an opportunity to gain power and redistribute wealth. nothing has changed since the time of high priests asking for sacrifice from humans so they can intercede with the gods on our behalf. Scam is the inept government wants us to believe they can reverse the earths climate while doing stupid things that are harmful. Can't take the government and their grant suckers seriously.

We exist in an eddy on a river of change and if change happens faster than we can adapt, we go away.

How do expect the free market to respond to the severe negative externalities of fossil fuel use?

The earth is wearing out , much due to the abuse by man, so I don't see the surprise.

So we're back to "global warming" now ?

The earth has been around far longer than man yet man thinks he can alter its changes.

HEY, United States of America.....You better cut your carbon output, your co2 output, and whatever else you cut is great.

The rest of the world, (including china) give us 30+ years and then I'll agree.
