If those of us that voted for Trump or are just plain conservatives are angry about anything it is justified with the state of our union today because of liberal leftist policies. It is changing our country and not in a good way.

They are "mostly peaceful."

They like to make others miserable. They are not miserable at star-studded, expensive conclave such as Paris, Bali, Cancun, Copenhagen, Kyoto et. al. where politicians can appear grim-faced for the cameras and then party to the likes of Elton John and Bon-Jovi. And then produce a formula for more taxes, err, climate action. See ‘Bleak’ U.N. Report Finds World Heading to Climate Catastrophes (Sugar Daddy's Left the Building) and/or Another Headline, Another Climate Panic. Their gloom is relieved by being serious statesmen that go about their salubrious business saving the world.

lol.

You think that's a political position? That;s a stereotype actually created by the loony left, and many on the left keep people off their lawn by walls and gates.

Yet they are the ones who oppose a wall on our southern border.

I totally agree, conservatives tend to report more happiness. Like people on facebook also report an extreme amount of happiness. Um hm.

I'm saying from an observational standpoint, the right wing isn't acting happy. They often appear miserable, and strike out at others in anger.

Nothing seems to make Get Off My Lawn guy happier than someone on his lawn, that he can bellow at.

First off, not every Conservative is a "grumpy old man." I'll be turning 34 this year and I've been a Conservative since 2015. Used to be Independent until I realized my views aligned more with the Conservative movement. As far as the "get off my lawn," statement...well....if you're trying to take away my rights, call me a racist even when the topic of discussion has nothing to do with race, and want to continue to strip away our freedoms, then please, don't step foot on my grass.

Having said that, ChrisC was spot on - you don't know us from Adam. All you know is what we post here. And if being passionate and concerned about issues that can affect our personal life is wrong, then I don't want to be right. And as another poster mentioned, they've done studies on this topic in multiple countries, including the US, and Conservatives are generally happier. One reason is we don't feel a constant need to change, especially if it involves bending at the knee.

I've had low points and I've had high points. I've had depressing days, and I've had great days. Overall, I'm a pretty happy guy and I have a pretty damn good life. I have friends and family that love and care for me, I have my hobbies, my career, and can find happiness and enjoyment from many positive aspects of life.

Your responses including this one are proof of how miserable Liberals are. You prance around from thread to thread knocking others if they don't see things your way. You make assumptions that all Conservatives hate gays and don't want equal rights, all because "the ones you talk to" feel that way. And even now, you're refusing to accept that Conservatives can't be happy, solely because it's ingrained in your mind that it's impossible. So no, we're not pretending to be happy like "people on Facebook that report an extreme amount of happiness."

We're actually happy. It's real, it's genuine, and we don't need to label people racists, white supremacists, or force our viewpoints on others in order to obtain it.

Excellent post! I can't say that all liberals are miserable but the ones I know personally are.

Thank you! Haha same here! I see them posting all the time on social media, blaming capitalism and "privileged" as to why either they or anyone else can't make it in life. They lash out at me over my beliefs and tell me to find a way to time travel to the 50's. It's hilarious how worked up they get.

Aaaaaaand congrats on being the point me and many others have made!! Just because someone is a Conservative, doesn't mean we want segregation, and women to "shut up and make us a sandwich."

As far as the "changing the world part," the only change Liberals are trying to create is pushing their Marxist and Socialist ideologies on the entire country. They won't stop until it's the "United Socialist States of America."

I think some liberals truly WANT to live in 1955.

Then they would have actual problems to be mad about instead of the made up crap they have to occupy themselves with now.

Exactly! I don't want to us to return to the bad things about the past only the good things and there certainly were some compared to the stupid Marxist, Socialist idealogies of today's looney, liberal left and so called progressives these days.
