Doesn't matter what ANY of us think, or want, the federal gov't inserted themselves into the baby formula production chain, then were VERY slow to perform their function of inspecting, & taking corrective action.

Why did it take weeks for them to act after failed inspections? Kickbacks? Incompetence? Both?

Everything the federal gov't touches turns into a calamity.

We need to reduce the role of gov't by 50% just for starters, so we can begin to function normally again.

They are not adding any value anyways, they are just mucking things up.

Vote well in November...vote for smaller federal gov't, less dysfunctional beauracracy in our lives...& less corruption too.

What will he “build better” next ?
Unfortunately, bleeding heart liberals, the far left and ethnocentrics will support Biden no matter how bad the country gets and they are far more than 10% of the country.

Part of me wishes an EMP would go off and turn society into a wasteland, so people wouldn't worry about first world problems like having to use formula, when you look at most of the ingredient's it's just sugar water, with some trace vitamins, and many if not most contain casein, which is the protein cow's milk contains and is derived from cow's milk... so if you are already feeding your child casein or whey protein, you might as well just use cow's milk.

Scientifically speaking they contain many of the same components, unless you are good at ready labels and actually understand science, not the fairly tales both political parties promote not to mention the natural health movement that says "cow's milk is bad for you." ... really then, stop putting whey and casein in your formula. They fooled you people to make big bucks peddling a product that the majority don't really need.

Seriously... it's corn syrup solids (sugar), Vegetable oil, and nonfat milk solids as the top 3 ingredients... cow's milk is probably healthier. I guarantee you this stuff costs them pennies to make.. like the overpriced starbucks cold brew coffee they sell for $5-6 in those 4 jar containers.

They might as well be eating a candy bar.

It's one disaster after another under Biden.

The bright spot is at least Biden set aside tons of formula for illegals crossing the border.

Is this the solution to the baby formula shortage? Abort your baby?

Disgusting

Those people hate what America stands for, they hate our history and our way of life and want to "fundamentally transform" America (not my words, those are the words of Barrack Obama). So the worse it gets, the happier they are and the more they approve of Biden's job performance. Fortunately I think Independents have finally come to realize what's going on and that's why Biden's approval polling numbers have dropped like a rock with this group. You need independents to win political races.

Instead of promoting breastfeeding (our country is not breastfeeding friendly at all) and holding the FDA accountable for keeping a formula manufacturer closed after they determined that they were not the source of the problem, they use this as an opportunity to advocate for abortion.

Brilliant.

I keep hearing on TV how tricky it is feeding a baby if you do not have formula, a specific formula your baby has to have......this just sounds odd to me.
Some babies are allergic to some types of formula, and some babies refuse to switch once they get used to a certain type. We had to use soy based formula because our son was lactose intolerant

Trump imposed tariffs on formula, and the FDA has limited imports for many years in the name of "protecting infants".

Another issue is that the WIC program, which covers half of the infants, has always limited the size and brand of formula parents can buy using WIC benefits, and Abbott is the largest provider under that program. State administrators have been slow to inform parents and sellers of formula of changes to allow different types, sizes, and brands of formula covered by WIC.

Here is a good article:

Big Bottle: Breaking Down The Baby Formula Nightmare
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/...mula-nightmare

Essentially, bureaucrats from FDA control the infant formula market and don't allow foreign companies. That's why prices are 100% higher than in Europe.
