There was a period of time when there were lockdowns across the country. Some areas locked down longer than others. Business shut down by the millions, especially small businesses etc..that is one reason stimulus checks where mailed to millions because of the lockdowns. Of course those lockdowns were nothing near what communist China is imposing now and also back then. This is not China's first draconian lockdown.

Lunacy. Unless Covid isn’t really the reason they are shutting down?

They might be trying to push the west to a breaking point. Their move at that point could be anything.

Does the CCP pay you to write that? No? Why are you saying it then?

"Lockdowns" is the colloquial term we use for the morass of restrictions and obstacles and signals that were forced on us starting in spring 2020. Why do you make it such a point to disagree with a colloquial term? It makes you sound untrustworthy.

A modern city starves

Quote:
"China's medical system would risk a collapse leading to enormous loss of life if it gives up on epidemic prevention and control," Chinese state news agency Xinhua said.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has signaled that the country must continue its zero-COVID policy, meaning local authorities feel intense pressure to eliminate COVID outbreaks no matter the cost. And it's politically difficult for Xi to admit error and change course, since later this year he will be making a bid to assume a highly unusual third term in office.

Saw a clip on Tucker and it showed the city and you could hear thousands of people screaming and wailing. Taking it on face value as it legit, it was horrible. My spouse broke out in tears, it was awful. I had a couple of nightmare last night from it.

It was beyond surreal, also the authorities taking and violently killing people's pets. Jesus, awful awful things happening

soon the authorities will be severely punishing anyone that leaks information about these horrific conditions - if they aren't doing so already..

Dems always get snitty about dictionary definitions whenever it serves their narrative.

This is why freedom is so important. Once you cede your freedoms to the government in exchange for conveniences or luxuries, the government can limit or turn those "social benefits" off and there is nothing that can be done to fight it.

To protect personal freedom never give up land ownership, personal vehicle ownership and gun ownership.

This is so insane. These poor people... This kind of authoritarian government must be abolished everywhere.... These dictators need to be shot for all the pain and suffering they have caused.
