This is Communism. No rights. I see it coming here. We have two year olds who the government say must wear masks. It will get worse if we comply with each power play over our freedoms.

The people in Communism China have no recourse. They must comply or jailed or murdered. There is no one to help. You are the complete property of the government. Communism is one step away from Socialism. Americans all better wake up to that fact. It is now in play to take away our rights as many work to make this country over into a dictatorship.
It’s horrific what is happening in Shanghai. Zero Covid policies have major consequences. People are starving. Pets are being killed. Children separated from their parents. Cruel.

The over one billion people are being completely controlled by the ruling party of Communists. We now have an administration in DC that are making decisions against the American people. We have a dictator as president giving us high gas prices, heating costs and we will have food shortages as millions more illegals pour over the border.

The Democrat party is now telling us what we should think, what we should buy, what we should do. They are constantly complaining that we should do this and that. They are a dictatorship. Constantly defining who is who ,what s acceptable. Putting everyone into groups, cancelling, doxing, bully tactics if we don't fall in line to their dictator tactics.

My neighbor’s daughter in law’s parents were living in Wuhan during the initial lockdown.

Unlike the US, most people shop daily as refrigeration and storage are limited. They had to rely on either making an appointment to shop or home delivery 3-4 x a week. Fresh vegetables and fruits were limited.

Moscow did a similar lockdown and required the masses to get approval to shop.

It annoys me to read/ hear people and media refer to the variable restrictions that were imposed in the US as lockdowns, a term typically used in prisons during unrest or a security incident.

No matter where one lived, no one was confined even after testing positive. Even in those places with many restrictions, people could leave their residence, drive, shop, walk, bike, etc.

As for Shanghai, right now, those who test positive, regardless of symptoms, are immediately transferred to massive isolation centers- converted factories, convention centers and schools. Families are being separated.

Despite this the number of positive cases continues to soar each day.

Hospitalizations are few and no deaths have been reported.

There is increased food insecurity which does not mean the masses are starving.

Sounds like the impact of preventing hospitals from being overrun, may be worse than letting it rip.

Nothing factual suggests those not in compliance are being murdered.

OP seems to have missed the most critical element of Communism- owning the means of production.

China also has a social credit system so those who won’t comply can be shut out from society. It’s a nightmare.

If everyone around you believes X, then X is true.

I exclusively socialize with people who believe the earth is flat, therefore the earth really is flat.

Just as an fyi….like you all with such a warped view of China, the saving grace is that the Chinese have a really dim view of the US as well. For starters, such a supposedly rich country but so many deaths from Covid which could have been avoided. And all those drug addicts and homeless running around in run down cities and rat infested subways….both us and China have ugly blemishes.

My co-worker and I were talking about this... it did not go according to plan for the ruling class in America. We gave them the collective middle finger and are taking back our school boards and city councils at the rate not seen in decades from the left. Kudos to Americans for still having attitude and the ability to give authority (the status quo, swamp, whatever you want to call them) the middle finger. It really is a healthy thing, as much as the ruling class disagrees. They don't really understand human nature and our evolutionary makeup to the degree I do.. just saying.

Taking humanity to a new era will not involve authoritarian rule from socialist utopians, communists, or whatever label they want to give themselves. Freedom to self express and live as you wish in a mixed capitalist society is paramount to progress as a species. The west has been infiltrated by some dangerous people (they exist on both the extreme left and extreme right) but we can keep them at bay. Russia remains an unknown variable. China won't be any superpower until their government is overthrown. I had some hope until I saw what they were doing lately locking down whole cities.

I saw videos where dump trucks were piling dirt in front of doors. People were instructed to put a white piece of paper if they had a dead body in their apartment .

Some tried to escape but road blocks were put in place.
Some videos made the men were crying because they knew that the communists would hunt them down and kill them. Many are too afraid to speak out and have to paint a Rosy picture
