Looking at the stable of potential democrat presidential candidates in 2024, the cupboard is bare. While the republicans have younger, pragmatic, energetic candidates, the dems have the same worn out, tired far left loonies of the previous cycle.

In order to be considered a dem candidate anymore, you MUST be approved by the far left wing of the party, which embraces lunacy as a matter of course. As a result, no rational, pragmatic democrats (if there are any left) would ever be considered as a presidential candidate. To be "accepted", you have to embrace open borders, high crime, celebrating sexual perversion, CRT, BLM, "global warming", killing the energy sector, and abortion on demand.

So who will the dems put up who is not a stark raving lunatic?

UGH , we can only imagine who they will put up and champion for. I'm thinking Mayo Pete, he is gay but he does not poll well with Blacks.... It is going to be tough for the Dems to find someone that checks enough boxes to appease their many fringe bases of support.

What we do know is that whomever the Republicans put up that person will suddenly become the most Racist, homophobic, misogynist, anti abortion, climate change denier and overall threat to everything progressive and American EVER!

The Democrats showed us how ugly they could be regarding Trump but I have a feeling it will get worse.

Michelle Obama is their only somewhat viable play - and even that would probably turn into an absolute farce.

The bare reality is that Dems will be lucky if they are shut out of power for only the rest of the decade.

After all, they could be going the way of the Whigs.

It certainly will not be either of the current dingbats.
I know it’s all speculation and conspiracy talk at this point, but I would not be surprised if Hillary shows up to the party. That’s about all they got so far and it ain’t much. Nobody likes her.

It doesn't matter who they put up, or if they win or lose.

The overspending & corruption continues, no matter who gets elected.

The entire federal gov't is a massive con that enables the top 1% to steal from the rest of us.

Dems and Pubs are both just swamp creatures w/ different colored scales.

Politics is a mirage...a head fake...a deception....slight of hand.

I would also say Michelle Obama. A possibility might be NJ Governor Murphy. But I think he would turn it down. Whoever it is will pretty much be a sacrificial lamb.

Democrats have to really reinvent themselves, right now there are too many major problems that need to be fixed. The big complaint used to be tax and spend, now that is almost at the bottom of the list.

I would not count out AOC. She is young and a female and POC.

She has never frayed from the Dem's company line

1. Everything should be free
2. Everyone is pretty much racist
3. Handouts given, We can just print the money

Agreed, but we can be done to change that?

This right here. The Democrats and Republicans are 2 sides of the same coin. They serve the MIC, banks, oil companies, pharmaceutical companies and the 1%.
