Illegal Immigration is a huge problem and it will be the ultimate end of us. The Dems are loving it because they see a future voting block and the Reps are not sure what to do because making too big a stand against it will put a Trump like target on your back.

Meanwhile the good people of this country are being hurt both physically and financially and the minorities are being displaced. The Legal immigrants are still smarting from the slap in the face the Dems gave them.

What are we up to now in Illegal alien residents? 20 million? 25 million??
20-30 million?! In 2005 we minutemen were challenging this in Los Angeles through rallies and attending council meetings. It was out of control back then and estimates back then were up to 30 million across the country.

We would also attend funerals and hold demonstrations for victims killed by illegal aliens and there were many.

This was one example:

PALMDALE - More than 50 people carrying American flags and signs that read "Stop illegal immigration" demonstrated Saturday at an intersection where a young Palmdale man, 20 yr old Tyler Lundin, was fatally injured in a crash blamed on an unlicensed, uninsured undocumented immigrant who tried to walk away after the collision.

And those were only the ones CBP knows about. Princeton's Douglas Massey suggested that apprehension rates are more likely between 20% and 40%.

Maybe the MSM was omitting the ones released into the interior of the country on the 'honor system.'

it's probably easier to figure out than their study.

We know that Biden has let in ~750K "awaiting the disposition of their status" which will take several years - the courts are that backed up.

Then you figure the 20% "gotaway" rate from the 2MM encounters, that's 400K gotaways that we have to catch to ever put them into the system - and this Administration will not Title 8 expel them.

750 + 400K = 1,150,000 new illegals. I suppose you subtract the 59,000 deportations and get 1,100,000 new illegals in the US.

None of that, of course, counts new visa overstays that didn't eventually leave.

Start arresting politicians. Aiding and abetting illegal aliens in against our existing immigration laws. Start arresting members of this admin and governors and mayors of sanctuary states and cities. Do it now.

*White settlers. We have laws now. So many hypocrites whine about land that was “stolen” from native Americans.

If anyone believes the land was “stolen”, don’t be a hypocrite. You’re on “stolen” land. Why are you still here? When are you hypocrites leaving?

Mayorkas, and the budget he controls for DHS.

you're missing a million. They apprehended about 2MM and they turned ~1.3MM of them back (though they were not 1.3MM unique individuals, some got turned away more than once)

Mitch "blocked it" when he wasn't even Majority Leader? Dems have blocked it too.

2013 and 2014 legislation (8 years ago) included amnesty and a path to citizenship for SOME.

McConnell said since Obama used the stroke of a pen for the DACA's (waaaay back in 2012), he wasn't going to pass any immigration reform beginning in 2015, when he became SML

the CBP, even while Trump was POTUS, pegged the figure at about 20%.

Is it much higher right now, and since March 21? Indubitably.

One estimate is as good as any other.

Illegal immigration became a tidal wave in the 80’s and took a brief pause during the Great Recession and then resumed. Has not mattered who sat the oval or held the majority. Powerful lobbies, agriculture, meat/ fish packing, construction, hospitality, Chamber of Commerce representing small businesses want the status quo. It’s bipartisan.

Millions enter the US legally each year. Some work and return home, rinse and repeat. Some stay put. So long as people and businesses can continue to economically engage undocumented people for hire, with no consequences, they will come. No wall is high enough. No patrol is deep enough.

A handful of states have made eVerify a requirement of private sector employers. All contain intended loopholes and enforcement is lax - non existent.

With a time out for Covid in 2020, the US has been at full employment for several years. There is a worker shortage at nearly every skill level, fast food- professional. Would would have thunk, the person pulling a grocery cart chain in the Costco parking lot would earn $17.50 to start in a state with a $7.25 Minimum Wage?

The only US citizens competing with undocumented people for jobs are those with felony convictions and/ or those unable to pass a simple drug test.

The challenges faced by those with non- violent felony convictions likely contributes to the recidivism rates.
