Has everyone somehow missed what a trigger law is?

A "trigger law" is the term for a law that is unenforceable but may achieve enforceability if a specific change in circumstances occurs. They can be passed into law at any time. So why haven't all the big bad abortion-banning trigger laws some people are losing their minds over been passed yet? High probability that there is not enough state support to pass them.

Using bc incorrectly IS having unprotected sex.

You are discounting that there is a very high chance that Roe v Wade WILL be overturned, thus putting those trigger laws into effect. Have you already forgotten the reason we are discussing this is because a draft of the Roe decision has been made available to the public? Do you not remember what that draft document says? Jeesh!

What's even more stupid is that they're incessantly whining on social media about it instead of getting to work in their state's legislative process. Duh.

Note to the pro-abortion contingent: The states will be regulating abortion now. Practice democracy... put your 2 cents into it at the state level.

Here's an article about Ohio's bill.

https://ohiocapitaljournal.com/2022/...ape-exemption/

See the problem? It's not a law. Hasn't passed the state legislature.

By whining about it on social media? lol... Getting involved in your state's legislative process would be far more effective in this case.

Exactly. Before Roe is officially repealed, and these bone headed trigger laws swing into affect.

Now's the time to head that off.

Seems many women figured out they can simply use abortion as BC.

The larger portion of that occurs in the inner cities. I highly doubt illegal abortion or legal abortion will make a difference. Has the death penalty prevented murderers From committing murder and rapists from raping? I think not geniuses.

Whining about it on social media doesn't change your state's legislative process. There are no trigger laws in most states. There are far more states in which abortion regulatory laws are pending (they have not yet passed the state legislature). The activist left hasn't figured that out yet. They're too busy planning protests at churches, SCOTUS Justices' homes, and prancing around in their cosplay costumes in DC. lol
