Dr Peterson is on a world-wide speaking tour, produces endless FREE content on YouTube with some of the world's greatest thinkers and, to my knowledge, has been 'clean' from benzos since at least 2020. He was prescribed this medication due to anxiety and depression (a life long propensity to anxiety and depression over his wife and daughter's health issues) and took them for three years. He suffered seriously debilitating side effects, both on and off the medication, was hospitalized and even placed in a medically induced coma. This is my understanding and something he articulates in the foreword of Beyond Order - 12 More Rules for Life, the follow up book to 12 Rules for Life - An Antidote to Chaos.
It is clear you haven't read either book. Where are you getting your info? "You did a quick search." The bain of liberal opinions. Never deeply informed, always off the cuff and almost always inaccurate.
I really dislike it when people express opinions as fact. If he had said, "I don't think she is beautiful", no problem. Saying "she is not beautiful" is open to debate -- as others have said, beauty is a matter of opinion -- and I think that is true at least 99% of the time.
Exactly. Like the post a few above this one said: he stated his opinion like it was fact. For some reason he had a problem with other people thinking that fat people can be beautiful.
I don’t know any of these people, nor do I care, but I’ve been banned twice because apparently Twitter’s algorithm has no sense of humor. I feel like I’ll probably be fine without it.
The last time I was banned, I had quoted a line from SNL that was on network TV in the 70s. They declared it hate speech.
