^^^^They can't (or won't) see the end game. And, yes, some are truly ignorant while the rest of them are willfully ignorant. We see the latter all the time in these forums. Any attempt to get them to engage in critical thinking about this always falls flat.

Why dont the smarter Pubs just give away more free stuff so they can win? The not so bright Dems are winning almost all the time with their free stuff. If the Pubs try to take anything away, they'll lose even worse than they are now...right?

Democrats need to understand that the paradigm has shifted. Bush, Romney, McCain, etc are all disliked by most current Republicans.

Democrats are now the oppressors. You couldn’t say that when Obama was running in 2008.
Aha! So you are saying the Republicans are learning how to win, by appelaing to the middle class? But the middle class is shrinking so why appeal to them? I though the Pubs were smarter than that?

Can anyone explain to me how not so bright people gained so much control over those who claim to be smarter...the Republicans?
The answer is simple: It is the democrats who are smart, and republicans who aren't. Because republicans aren't terribly smart, they cannot understand that the democrats are actually smart, and also cannot understand why and how democrats have taken over everything.

If Einstein started talking about Relativity to a monkey, the monkey would probably think Einstein was just babbling away about some nonsensical mumbo-jumbo, and the monkey would probably think Einstein wasn't terribly bright.

Leave it to a Lefty to take every colloquialism literally.

None of this is remotely relevant until the demand for fair and honest elections is as loud and powerful as a declaration of war.

Forget everything before 2020. They had zero chance and everyone knew it years in advance. So they stole it....and got away with it! It worked....and it will be their plan for as long as we stand on the sidelines, until we get in the ring.

Issues are irrelevant. We're (collectively) still afraid to get into the ring.

The Middle Class is shrinking slightly, but it still constitutes a majority.

But do you want to know what model absolutely doesn’t work anymore? Doing everything the Koch brothers want, while helping nobody in the middle class.

The Republican Party didn’t change because McConnell wanted it to change, it changed out of necessity.

That is basically the point I'm trying to drive home here. Republican policies may be wisest to solve the world's problems from a purely logical standpoint, but if they are losing everything while deploying their wiser policies, at what point do Pubs change course?

One poster here said the Pubs have changed course by appealing to the middle class, but the middle class is shrinking, so wouldn't it be better for Pubs to appeal to the poor, who are growing in numbers?

Well in that case republicans are probably incapable of understanding that their ideas are becoming less popular, so they're probably just doomed to fade away until it gets so bad for them they decide to change course.

The Dems are much better at manipulating others, and selling their ideas than the Pubs are...by far. The Pubs keep trying to use logic to prove their policies are better at improving our lives, but their sales pitch isnt working on enough people.

Pubs have to also pitch their ideas in a way that makes people FEEL better too. Pubs must learn to push the emotional buttons of more voters, to stop losing. In this way, the not-so-bright party is actually brighter.
