A Russian false flag operation might be coming very soon.
1. The Russians have evacuated from the nuclear power plant.
2. They have been restricting people coming into Crimea.
They are claiming Ukraine with destroy the nuclear power plant with details like the date, the weapon Ukraine will use, etc.
If this sounds familiar, it is the Russian MO: blaming the other side for what they do.
Ukraine has been warning people that Russia might attack the nuclear power plant for two weeks now. Ukrainians are gearing up to deal with radioactive fallout.
The Russian line is pretty think - 30 KM is some areas. It would be hard to expect some sort of "breakthrough" that means anything.
Ukraine forces will just have to wear them down. Reminds me of Vietnam, where the battlefield is one thing and activities at home in the US are another. The Vietnam war was won by the protestors, not lost by the army.

From what I have read the Ukrainians are hitting a major target in the rear on average every 70 minutes for the last week. Hopefully they are degrading the rear.

Russian mobile radiation laboratories were spotted in Enerhodar and Mariupol. Photo:
Those mobile radiation labs are operating at a long distance from the nuclear power plant. It is as if they expect the fallout to reach that far. If that is the case, a lot of people are going to have a bad day.

Our source in the OP said that at the field headquarters at the Rivne NPP, they discussed scenarios for situations at the Zaporizhzhya NPP storage facility with nuclear scientists and the formats greatly surprised the Office of the President. Zelensky was explained that the difference between any future accident as a result of a provocation at the Zaporizhzhya NPP and Chernobyl is that Chernobyl was like a boiling cauldron with a constant release of radionuclides into the atmosphere, hence the pollution reached Europe, and flew around the Earth a couple of revolutions. At ZNPP, as a result of any provocation, the territory within a radius of a couple of tens of kilometers will be contaminated to a greater extent, with an increase in the distance from the epicenter of the explosion, radiation pollution will decrease, radioactive “heavy” elements will rise into the air and settle through the emission plume. The main radioactive contaminants in spent fuel at the ISFSF include: iodine-131, strontium-90, cesium-137, cobalt-60. These are heavy elements, they will not scatter far through the air and will settle on the soil in the torch area of 3-10 kilometers, depending on the strength of the wind and possible precipitation.
The consequences will be eliminated by emergency teams within a week. Moreover, it will take a day for monitoring / analysis and decision-making, 3-7 days for the elimination of consequences at the ZNPP site.
As it will not happen in Chernobyl, there will be pollution and an increase in the gamma background.
Now the gamma background is within 8-12 microroentgen per hour. After the explosion, there will be up to 12,000,000 microroentgens per hour (120 millisieverts per hour) at the epicenter. Exceeding a million times, at the epicenter.
A kilometer from the Epicenter will be from 120 to 1200 micro-roentgen per hour. Exceeding 10 and 100 times.
