Russian local PM reports that 1.5 million uniforms are missing, somehow. The paperwork, like, totally checks out. It's just that there are no uniforms. That's not someone's dacha, that's someone's yacht in Limassol. And that's the Russian army for you. Well, Russia overall.
We're dealing with a country where organized crime and the government are one and the same. The whole idea is for Russian government to receive money and find ways to distribute it to the various oligarchs. Paying for non-existent uniforms or for non-existent soldiers is a good way to pay for yachts and mansions.
The Russian defensive line in the northern parts of the Kherson region completely collapsed tonight. Ukraine is breaking through along the line of contact. Arkhanhelske is liberated & Ukrainian forces are attacking Dudchany. Russian forces plead for air support on social media.
And then them requesting air support in Kherson through public telegram channels is just hilarious. I’m pretty sure they even got a response, but it was something like “the weather is bad, air support will not be coming”. There was something similar about a month ago, right after the Kharkiv counteroffensive.

There was an excellent tweet from user "Darth Putin":

Day 221 of my 3 day war. I played my gas card so early Europe stocked up for winter and I mobilized so late that my conscripts will freeze in it.
Haha you guys are funny. The last big gain for the Ukraine was 3 weeks ago, not 3 days ago. You guys also seem to be totally ignoring the disasters southern offensive that cost the Ukraine mass casualties, and gained them virtually zero territory. That is not the sign of an army that can drive the enemy out on any time frame, let alone a month.
Wrong on the first part (look at any map of liberated towns around Lyman) and the second part is bookmarked for future giggles.

That was not a big gain. The Russians just retreated back a few kilometers. But they are still there.
The Kherson advances if proven to be accreate, would be a really big gain. But they started that offensive way back in August and have suffered massive casualties, and may just now be starting to see some progress there.
In an effort to overcome Biden administration resistance to providing it with a new set of powerful, long-range rocket systems, the Ukrainian government is now offering the US full and ongoing visibility into their list of intended Russian targets, multiple officials familiar with the discussions tell CNN.
The remarkable transparency essentially gives the US veto power over Ukrainian targeting of Russia and is meant to convince the administration that providing the critical weapons would not lead to strikes inside Russian territory, which the US fears would escalate the war and draw it directly into a conflict with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Despite Ukraine’s proposal, the Biden administration still has not approved the new long-range ATACMS weapons,
That's not promising. They have to beg for the long range weapons, and promise not to strike targets in Russia, so they won't get Russia angry at the US. Because OMG we don't want to have Russia angry at us.
Even then Biden is still refusing to give them the weapons. Pathetic.
You started an entire pile of blather based on "if" lol.
Seems the Ukrainians are doing just fine with what they've gotten so far but to your point...they are certainly able to be effective with all the stuff the Russians have abandoned and left behind.
I think that you're entirely unable to face up to the rot within Russian and it's military.
"The rot within Russia and its military" was not enough of a problem from stopping Russia when it took over large swaths of territory in the east very early in this conflict - territory which has now been annexed. If the Russian military had no "rot" as you allege it does, and if Russia had not made the efforts it has to avoid striking civilian population centers and infrastrucutre, much more would be under Russian control now. I speculate that from the perspective of American civilians used to "shock and awe" approaches whereby aerial bombardments cause large numbers of civilian dead, this different approach to war appears odd.
Considering that Russians are leaving stuff behind and running away, seems like they are getting plenty of weapons that is in perfect working order. Also they have no problem using American and Western country made hardware.
Ah, failing to address anything I wrote. That's fine. Remember though: the Russians captured PLENTY of western hardware as well. And given the Russians have superiority both in the range of artillery and in the quantity thereof - I would say the advantage remains Russian. And don't forget HIMARS takes years to build.
