If you actually followed 3rd Party and Libertarian movements and platforms as much as I have, this would be common knowledge.
What makes you think that the Republicans don't try to appeal to non-religious Americans? No, Evangelical conservatives don't have a majority grasp on the GOP either. If one believes that then they are believing the lies of the left and the MSN.

I work in indie moves with a lot of people under 40. I stay in touch on the production sites with probably 300 or so of them. Out of that number, I know fewer than a half dozen who want anything to do with anything republican. So my statement is allegorical, from personal observation and experience. If you look at the stats from 2021, the breakout of voters is Democrat, Independent, and republican, in that order. Link below.

I'm still waiting for Trump's much-touted Healthcare plan to be revealed, BTW. Any idea when he's going to release it?

There are still many Republicans who espouse family values and are honorable people in congress and out in mainstream. Far more than there is on the left with their corruption and wokeness.

Rural voters have far more power than urban liberals would like society to believe. The majority of Americans may live in cities, but cities don't produce products necessary to survive. Rural/small town America does. It doesn't matter they're the minority. All they have to do is cut cities off from food and manufacturing products. They can even organize with truckers so that foreign products can't even come in. Democrats will die off and so will their illusion of being the powerful majority. Republicans also have the guns and ammo to protect their communities. There are still millennial Republicans. They'll be the ones that take over agriculture and manufacturing, not democrats. Democratic millennials will congregate in cities and obsess over getting their pot and vegan food.

But manufacturing in the rural areas was wiped out as much as it was in the urban areas. And still going on. The Armstrong floor plant in my small rural town declared bankruptcy and will soon close if it can't find a buyer. For remaining manufacturing concerns, I doubt rural workers would appreciate being laid off to get back at urban areas. What's mainly left in rural areas are food crops as brought up above. But farmers may have to declare bankruptcy from the price of fertilizer and other things being too high, along with bad weather.

In the states, rural legislators who hold leadership positions can give rural people power to control what gets passed as what happened when a bill this year to legalize rec marijuana was not allowed a vote in the Oklahoma Legislature. The same thing happened to a pro-psilocybin bill. In the meantime, most rural towns continue to slowly die off in Oklahoma.

As people get older, they realize it is useless to go against the social pecking order. The idealism of youth wanes.

I suppose you can call that becoming jaded or just accepting reality.

It's true, the US system of government does make certain people in rural areas have more power in government than the majority populations who live in large cities. This is intentional. Not right, by any measure of a free democracy, but it turns out we aren't exactly that here in the US.

Wealthy corporations own the food supply you think they care about rural America? No idea what your referring to about truckers maybe your thinking about the Canada truckers blocking the highway look what happened to them. Most trucking in America are big corporations with 1000's of trucks their drivers have no power to do anything except drive.
