Is it? I would think the Federal government pushing pro-abortion views, by creating a "right" that does not exist, on pro-lifers, or, theoretically, vice versa, would do more to "split people apart"...
Ironically, letting each state decide should do more to heal divisions, as New York and California would allow abortions during birth, and Oklahoma and Texas would ban almost all abortions, which is more in line with each of those four states than anything the Federal government could ever dictate...
Unfortunately, poor women won't be able to go to another state to have an abortion, even if their lives depend on it, or even if they can't afford to care for those children. Banning abortion is not going to make some people more responsible. States like OK and TX will just have to step up to support these children and/or pay the medical expenses of those born with severe disabilities.
Yes, it's okay with them. The ends justify the means. Shame on Susan Collins and her ilk who were so gullible.
What I find so ironic is there are plenty of Republican women out there who get abortions every day, and who will continue to do so. I guess the adulterous politicians will have to send their mistresses to the blue states.

They seemed to have a good deal of respect for precedent at their hearings, this didn't take long. We really didn't need this ruling now regardless of which side you fall on, they just poured more gasoline on the fire. They could have attempted this years ago but obviously they got their dream team.
This is bad for the country and removes any respect anyone may have had for the supreme court, they are acting like partisan hacks.
Thomas is on a roll now, next up Obergefell, contraception and maybe the Voting Rights Act.
That they lied during their confirmations is ok with you? We have justices on the Supreme Court who lied to get there.
The Democrats lied too. They took an oath to uphold the Constitution.
