Shouldn't it be the SOS that goes if anybody?
Narcissistic? Our illustrious house speaker? Say it isn't so!! LMAO. That's a mild term for the opinion of herself Pelosi has. I figure the reason she's going to Taiwan is...because she can. On the taxpayer dime. Other than that her going there doesn't accomplish anything. She's just feeding her ego.

While I don't disagree with your statement as a general matter, problem here is that the US tries to have it both ways on account of Taiwan. On the one hand, the US' official foreign policy stand is that there is only one China and the PRC is the legitimate representative of China. On the other hand, the US takes steps to defend Taiwan. I say until the US actually decides to recognize Taiwan as an independent country and open an embassy there, no government official should be visiting the island in an official capacity.

There is nothing to be gained with pelosi’s visit except to provoke china.
We have a bunch of children in our govt that do not understand diplomacy because they think their **** doesn’t stink since becoming a sole hegemony after WW2.

Looks like China rules our military too. We are weak under Milley. The clown appeases the enemy or he is a communist too.

Nothing say 'independence' and 'defiance' more than weapons. Am not being 'gung-ho' here. But since we are already arming Taiwan for decades, then a politician's visit is just an afterthought.

The Chinese won't shoot her down.

They know how destructive she is to the USA and is worth 20 Chinese divisions in the US.
