I don't think the Chinese are joking, and fighting 1.4 billion Chinese over 7,000 miles away, on an island only 100 miles off their coastline is going to be very difficult.
It could also result in massive US casualties, similar to those lost in world wars.
Don't just write the Chinese off, in terms of fighting on their home turf.

Btw there are 1.4 Billion Chinese, and the country is quite technologically advanced. They are even ahead of the US in terms of some technology such as hypersonic missiles, and they have good air defence and naval support in relation to an island only 100 miles off their coastline.
I would suggest you start manufacturing hundreds of thousands of body bags, and rather than needing a bigger boat, you are going to need a bigger army.
Vietnam and Korea would be seen as merely minor skirmishes, compared to a war with China.
Pelosi is just pouring petrol on to a fire, although that's what Pelosi does where ever she travels in the world.
Getting rid of Pelosi and Biden, and engaging in proper dialogue is a better solution that just antagonising nations.
Finally in terms of they can't tell us what do and we will show the, the same was said of the Viet Cong and Taliban, and it seems to abandon a peace keeping mission in Afghanistan in order to start a war, which could be avoided with the Chinese. It's little wonder the US is in so much debt, as it's now nearly constantly at war.
