Ah, what a golden opportunity! We could say to China, "You may own our butts, but you will NOT tell us what to do." Then we could go ahead and send the Wicked Witch of the West on over... but along the flight path just two hundred miles off the coast of Kalifornia, a strange and unexplainable Bermuda-Triangle-like incident occurs... with no trace of the witch or her royal consorts ever to be found.
That way, China's patience is not tested and we lose a major pain in the tailpipe. Win, win.
China is now threatening military action and could even call in US credit, if Nancy Pelosi's planned visit to Taiwan goes ahead.
The US should really think before having this idiotic moron visit anywhere.
Wow! The Chinese are afraid of little old Nancy! Way to go girl!
Why are you so afraid of the Communist Party of China (CPC)? Why should the US slink off like a beaten dog because a good one half of the American people have discovered the joys of fear over patriotism, along with the satisfaction of placing party over country?
China's position as the largest foreign holder of U.S. debt gives it some political leverage. It is responsible for lower interest rates and cheap consumer goods. If it were to call in its debt, U.S. interest rates and prices could rise, slowing U.S. economic growth.
On the other hand, if China were to call in its debt, the demand for the dollar could plummet. This dollar collapse could disrupt international markets even more than the 2008 financial crisis. China's economy would suffer along with everyone else's.
If China ever did call in its debt, it slowly would begin selling off its Treasury holdings. Even at a slow pace, dollar demand would drop. That would hurt China's competitiveness by raising the yuan’s value relative to the dollar. At some price point, U.S. consumers would buy American products instead. China could start this process only after it further expanded its exports to other Asian countries and increased domestic demand.
There you have it! A way to bring "Made in America" home again. American jobs for American workers! I say, "Let's go Nancy!"

You see disaster where I see opportunity. Nancy's plane goes down in the S. China Sea. A US satellite picks up a SAM launch from the Spratly islands and we ..... do nothing at all. You see they SHOT DOWN NANCY PELOSI!! Behind the scenes we agree to not nuke them if they just stop putting dogs in the dogfood and lead paint on the yellow rubber bathtub ducks. It could be the beginning of a beautiful US/China friendship.
Yep. That's exactly what Red China is looking to do. They can gain total air supremacy without firing a single shot. Militarily it brilliant. Not even DS 1 1991 gained air supremacy so easily. Taiwan has some very good planes and pilots and the Chicomms would take pretty serious losses before they just take the airspace over Taiwan by sheer force of numbers. Those lost planes and pilots would be a serious loss of face.
Loss of face is a big deal with Asian cultures. This way they put that loss of face on the US (can we lose more than what Biden and the cackling ditz already have) and from there taking over the South China sea in its entirety as Chicomm territorial waters is a short jump. That gives them a complete stranglehold on all shipping and trade in the region.
Oh goody. Say what you will about Trump but he had the Chicomms on a leash. Another thing that would happen if the Chinese take Taiwan is South Korea would be next up for communist aggression. I'm surprised we haven't heard more rumblings from the short round Pokemon as to that. Thanks to the Joey Bidet puppet show the US is exactly what the Chinese said we were back in the 70s. A paper tiger.
You do know taiwanese air force keeps falling out of the sky? Chicom? Are we still fighting in vietnam? It's 2022, not 1972, or even 1992.
