And if she does not go, these same critics here will be criticizing her and the administration for being weak. I have no doubt, that the U.S. military can get her in and out of there, right under China's nose without them knowing.
I just read a Politico article saying the US and China’s military are likely communicating now to prevent any misunderstandings during the trip.
China would be a sheet of glass quickly in that event.
And so would the rest of the world.
You’re crazy if you don’t think China has nukes aimed directly at us from submarines. First one is probably aimed at DC, say bye bye to the Whitehouse. Next one is probably aimed at NYC and LA.
And that’s before Russia and North Korea join the party. No way they just sit and watch their allies get nuked.
The entire point of a nuclear triad, is you can nuke an entire country off planet earth, and you still won’t destroy all their nukes. Which are now being fired directly back at you.

The U.S. have way more allies to join in as well, it will never be just the U.S. vs China. I'll take the U.S. technology over anything China and especially North Korea puts out there. Plus, the U.S. have way more experience in fighting wars in the last 30 or 40 years, they are always at it somewhere.

If China started a war over Taiwan they would lose. We can repel them from Taiwan. We can also defeat them on the seas and in the air. We do have powerful allies. They have looney toons North Korea and bogged down in Ukraine Russia on their side. We have the UK, France, Australia, Canada , Japan etc. The Chinese cannot win a world war if they start it.
Invading and occupying China on the other hand is a non starter. Too big and too hard to do. We can reduce them, we can isolate them and force them to negotiate. If either side is dumb enough to go nuclear then no one wins. If it stays conventional then it’s an allied win for sure.

China would have massive a massive advantage in terms of any war, as any allied forces would have to rely on massive logistics and be sea based.
The truth is China has every right to be concerned about Taiwan, which was under Japanese rule from 1895 to 1945, and was used to coordinate Japanese WW2 efforts against China, and housed a massive array of Japanese forces including large Japanese Air Force and Naval bases.
China is estimated to have endured the second-highest number of total casualties in WWII. As many as 20 million people died in China, including up to 3.75 million military deaths and 18.19 million civilian died as a result of the Japanese in WW2.
The island of Taiwan is only around 100 miles off the Chinese coast, and the Chinese are wary of it becoming a US enclave, and it should be noted that the US has similar concerns to Cuba, which is a similar distance off the US coastline.
As for Pelosi, she's not there to negotiate anything, she's just there to promote herself and to pour flames on an already dangerous situation.
Pelosi has been warned not to go to Taiwan, and if anything dies happen, then I am not sure many US allies will be happy about being dragged in to possible conflict with China, which could have been avoided.
The world has enough on it's plate with Ukraine, and in terms of the UK, why should it help, given Pelosi's constant interference and rhetoric in relation to Brexit and the NI Protocol, which led to the US being told to shut up and mind it's own business. Pelosi has also gone on and on about the UK, not getting a trade deal, so as far as I am concerned if Pelosi is a US problem that needs a US solution.

No need to worry abut Kim jim. NK can't even hit a barn door at 2 miles away ray let alone get a real nuke to work.
