I wouldn’t worry too much. Any sort of beings with enough intelligence to efficiently navigate space and get here would view our primitive little human race like we would an ant colony, and watch from a distance. We would likely have no means of defense against any weapons they might be carrying.
They are waiting until we destroy ourselves. Then they will swoop in and salvage anything worth salvaging.
The sad truth is that to intelligent life out there we look like savages, in a race to kill each other and our planet off. We are so stupid that we are literally destroying our home when we have nowhere else to go.
We offer nothing of value to advanced civilizations. They probably pass Earth by on their way to planets with intelligent life on them and remark about how stupid and self-destructive the inhabitants of this planet are. This mess of civilization isn't worth their bother.
So, given that our Milky way galaxy has like 300 billion or so stars and then there are a couple hundreed billion galaxies...and that's all we know about (for now)...there is definitely life elsewhere.
That they have expanded past light speed travel and located us is an entirely different proposition.
That said, we'll see.
P.S. The same people that tend to greatly distrust the govt. and the MIC...tend to drop their guard when you say we need more MIC spending because of UFO's.
NASA has just discovered "sound" in space. That is a scientific breakthrough.
The "sound" is 40-50 octaves below what we can hear and computer algorithms were able to transpose the sounds to what we can hear.
It's a new scientific discovery for us. They detected waves in 2003 but didn't have the technology to do anything more and it took until now to figure it out.
Stuff like the below should be our headlines today.....not derisive politics and social issues

Considering the distances we know exist in space, any beings capable of traveling it effectively would have to have mastered quantum physics and multidimensional questions. Either that or they are immortal and just cruising around to enjoy the sights.
Einstein hypothesized about another dimension. And current string theory alludes to another dimension.
But we do not have the technology to do anything but acknowledge there is "something" because of vibrations detected where there is nothing discernible to be measured or seen.
Real question is if there is an eventual First Contact scenario, would we all rally together as humans/earthlings? Or continue our petty squabbles and divisions?
I think the Pentagon answered it pretty clearly...."how can they defend us".
It won't be rally and say "hello". It will be Rambo style with guns and missiles blaring with no "hello".
No way. But that’s not really what I would prefer to debate here. Even if there is such a thing as an alien, why is the govt and media allowing information about it all of a sudden? What else should we be paying attention to instead?
Because space aliens make a great distraction from inflation and recession.
They've already played the abortion Roe v Wade reversal, Mar A Lago raid to get Trump again cards, so they need new material.
I think they'll fabricate a major race/racist story prior to Nov 8th too. The Black vote has seen slippage, so gotta panic Blacks too.
The radical uber left is pushing every psychological warfare button they have to stir up their voters to become enraged, & engaged, because they see a Red Wave heading towards them on Nov 8th.
