This sounded like a good story to bash until I saw the words "Proud Boys." The same group that chanted "Jews will not replace us" at Charlottesville in summer 2017. The same group that led a treasonous riot in the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021. I'm sorry but that group has a track record of not being peaceful protesters.
And yet, no one is saying they were anything but peaceful at the event in question.

It's the Proud Boys, the next time they have a "peaceful rally" will be that group's first. Why do you defend a bunch of political agitators who are a right wing FSU group?
Interesting, for a restaurant without a rainbow sticker, do you picture the owners having hetero sex while you're eating? Black folks having sex with a BLM sticker? Ukrainians having sex with the Ukrainian flag?
Lots of folks who support LGBTQ causes who are not LGBTQ themselves display the symbology.
What's the flag for celebrated hetero sex pride? Oh right. There isn't one.

just take the side of live and let live and acknowledge that you aren’t the only one type of person living in this world, and everyone else has a right to representation, not just you.
Wise words. A restaurant with a rainbow flag or sticker on the premises is forcing nothing on no one.

Apparently there are those that can't/choose not to, differentiate the bigger picture and, well, _sex_. If that describes a person, then fine, they can use it as a sign post. There are some of us who aren't so hung up and interpret it a bit differently. Does that "shock" you as well? A public service is when one makes others aware of something they might not have been aware of or appreciate the significance of, not sure if I'd classify this as such, unless the awareness is more an awareness of a specific point of view.
