I've owned two Corvettes. They're very fast, and have no business racing on the streets. As far as I know, street racing has never been legal and these guys need to be prosecuted to the greatest extent of the law. Of course, in Chicago, if they have a previous criminal record, and especially if they're black, they'd be back on the streets in a matter of hours.
One of the drivers was a 19 year old woman? Where does a 19 year old get the money to buy a Corvette? Where does any of these punks get the money to tear up their cars drag racing and doing donuts? If I could venture a guess I'd say these cars were probably stolen?
Is there really much difference between illegal guns being used in crimes and illegal street racing. Dead is dead and this tourist paid the price for the Elected Dems failure to Police the city.
How is that Defund the Police working out for you Chicago?
I think the woman was with someone in the blue Corvette involved in the accident. They said they had drag racing and hot rod meet ups all weekend. Much like Fast Furious which are problems in themselves because of noise, smoke and vandalism blatantly marking up clean streets and parking lots. And blocking and affecting traffic. They made drag racing/hot rod related arrests over the weekend
I wonder if the victim/she was so far down the road the couple didn't realize how fast the cars would make it there.

In my little world, that would lead to an immediate public execution. Bet there wouldn't be too many more such executions before that horse**** stopped.
