I live in LA and I noticed there are way more black people wearing masks than white people.

so you chastise me about my opinion of some dude, when you admit you do the same? perhaps humans are judgmental of others and there’s nothing wrong with it. i deleted the picture, but you couldn’t identify him based on the blurriness and mask wearing.

Pretty broad brush you use there.

Yes, because no one else on this forum ever casts sweeping generalizations about anyone else based on their race, color, sexual orientation or political affiliation.

I've never been on reddit. This forum is my only journey into political muck. It's a pastime - and a waste of time to be frank.

As for blacks wearing masks... admittedly, there aren't very many blacks around my area, but there are a few and I see them pretty much every day around town. I've yet to see ANY of them wearing a mask.

I have routinely seen Asian people wear masks during winter flu season and allergy season for many years now. I think many Asian nations have embraced mask wearing for decades and there was no stigma against it and it was encouraged. Many Asian Americans heard the word "Covid" and willingly masked up long before any mandates.

I have no doubt whatsoever that Asians wear face masks at higher rates than anybody else, as it is a normal part of many Asian cultures.

I have no clue if 3rd Gen US born Asians wear masks or not, but I personally know plenty of US born Asians and their children who choose to wear masks routinely, and are still wearing them now since Omicron was pushed and now this new 5 variant or what the heck.

Many Asian Americans will mask up at the drop of a hat.

I see more blacks than whites wearing masks, but still a small number overall. In the black community here, it seems to be evenly spread through adult age groups. In the white community, mostly older and people with obviously compromised health.

I have seen a few BLM masks but not for a while.
