Pick your poison. I think that we will have to get more energy from nuclear power and other non carbon energy sources. I don't like it but what's happening to our planet's climate due to increased CO2 is even worse. I think that people who are still steadfast in their opposition to nuclear power haven't thought through the situation we now find ourselves in.

So nuclear is a "poison" because of nuclear waste?
A 5 year old opinion piece? Seriously? Ever heard of Bill Gates? He is about as liberal as they get and he is investing heavily in new nuclear technology. The Democrats Inflation Reduction Act provided billions to support nuclear power and put it on the same level as other renewables. The Act could spur more than 300 new reactors producing 90 Gigawatts of power according to industry experts. So why did Republican oppose it? Why are they against nuclear power in 2022?

LOL, Republicans generally support an “all of the above” energy strategy that includes fossil fuels, nuclear, and renewable sources. However, they did not support the Inflation Reduction Act because the legislation itself is just a spending spree at a time when inflation is running rampant; it will do nothing to curb inflation.
