Although, I failed to see the part where the oil companies suppressed EV development. Seems like it was market driven.
Bingo. They always want to throw in some "evil oil company" nonsense because that's the only argument they have.

Then, as today, nothing produces more energy per square inch than fossil fuels, save for nuclear.

BELIEVE ME, If electric cars were better than ICE cars, they would have become the standard already, sometime in the past 125 years.

He raised wages in order to have a reliable work force.

"Henry Ford was a hard-nosed businessman; he didn't introduce the $5 workday because he was a nice guy, says Bob Kreipke, corporate historian for the Ford Motor Co.

"It was mainly to stabilize the workforce. And it sure did," Kreipke says. "And raised the bar all over the world.".

I have been driving my current BMW 5-series for 12 years. It is garage kept and I do my own maintenance. I will drive it until the wheels fall off. I haven't found anything that comes close to the ride or performance.

People who aren't paid a living wage are always looking Maybe that is what is needed today to stabilize the work force. Every company need to double the wages they currently pay.

I'm going to pick up one of the new Dodge Hellcats with 792 HP. Electric cars are for hippie do gooders. Give me the smell of racing fuel.
