I am curious if the left have convinced you to go EV or if you are still sticking with gas, if that is what you currently are using?

I have simply chosen not to purchase a new automobile. It is cheaper to replace the engine, transmission, and suspension of my twenty year old SUV, than it is to replace it with something new. I keep the paint and interior immaculate. It still looks like a new car!

Also, the newer smaller SUV are unibody, while mine has a traditional frame, and, therefore, they ride differently. I vastly prefer having a traditional frame.

Not until I can drive it 500 miles on a charge, stop at a station, and recharge in 5 minutes, then be on my way again.

Thought about it, and was really thinking of going with one of the new options from GM, the Blazer or Equinox but will most likely go a different route. The wife is leaning more towards a Jeep Cherokee or Wrangler now.

It will depend on how far battery technology advances. As of right now, no.

There is a lot to be said for owning a vehicle that is Pre-Computer controlled. You never know who might end up in control of that Vehicle computer. Better yet if you are a good mechanic.

"The average price for a new electric vehicle – over $66,000, according to Kelley Blue Book"

For $66,000, I can buy a lot of gas for my old Nissan that gets 37 mpg.

Negative. Our next vehicle will be a family hauler for road trips. Not waiting around 30+ minutes for it to charge.

Now when it's time for a new commuter vehicle I'll consider an EV. Just for around town driving.
