I’m sure I’ll eventually be forced into an EV because of Democrats, but, I’ll probably buy one more ICE vehicle, next year, that does not have the government-mandated kill switch or the anti-drunk driving detectors, and then plan to keep it for a long time until some Democrat decides that I can’t register it anymore because it’s not an EV.
Ford just closed the ordering process for the Maverick Hybrid for the 2023 model year. They are not taking any new orders for a while. I hope you got your order in!
If GM is smart they will make a competitor but their stuff is like for 2024. I don't care who makes it give me something similar and I am a buyer. Until then I will drive my equinox into the ground.
I had to vote other as I am hoping to buy a Ford Maverick which is a hybrid. Under $30,000 for a truck that gets 42 MPG is actually a steal, if I can ever get my hands on one. I need a small pick up for dragging Sheetrock and plywood now and then. This is basically perfect for me.
The Maverick isn't really useful as a truck. A 6ft bed is my minimum requirement. If they ditched the rear seat and add a foot to the bed, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. As currently configured, the Maverick is more of a car with no trunk lid. I'm still waiting for someone to come out with an modern version of the previous generation Ranger. Interestingly, I purchased a new 4X4 extended cab Ranger XLT in 2011 for $22K. In my area, low mileage used Rangers of the same year/configuration as mine are going for more than I paid new. Clearly, there's a market for true compact trucks. The Maverick is very close, but no cigar.

You won't be forced because the nonsense around EVs will finally become known and they will crumble.
You can't make money producing them, and you will lose tons of money owning them.
All while severely lacking in functionality compared to gas.
Those hurdles will be too big to overcome and as soon as they become politically toxic, politicians will drop them like a bad habit.

Great gas mileage. If you know a truck that can tow 4,000 pounds which is what my camper weighs and gets 42 MPG (less when towing I know) I would pounce on it. Oh and it co#ts around $25,000 new. The price is really cheap and you get the mileage on top of it.

You can haul a 4x8 sheet with the tailgate down. That's all I need. I can't do that in my equinox.
In all likelihood, my next vehicle will be electric or at least hybrid, but it will be awhile. I currently drive a 2014 Honda that has only 60k miles on it, and I keep cars going as long as possible, so, barring the car being totaled, I'm thinking that it may be another decade or more before I start thinking about replacing it.
with the prices of cars, i wont be buying any for a long time.
