Conditional "no."

Given my current car's wear and tear, my foreseeable driving volume, and where we are with technology and infrastructure, I can't see EV being a better value proposition than ICE by the time I would need a new car, which is about 7-9 years from now.

Every one of my major purchases is guided by maximizing the value proposition, not political whim and whimsy.

Well, that's the thing about statistics.........it really sucks when you end up being that one.

Besides, I wasn't the one who came up with the defence tactic but the security world.....so I would say it is a little bit "better" than one in a million.

I'm a maybe... well not for me actually, but for my wife and her/our daily driver. It will be an economic/ease of use decision.

I need something that can tow 10K+, seat 6-8 people and has good range of at least 500-600 miles a day. It's why I still drive my 2002 Ford Excursion diesel.

Thinking about it, I'm positive I was low by at least a couple orders of magnitude. That "defense tactic" is a fantasy written to sell seminars and page views.

People win the lottery too, but that doesn't mean lottery isn't a tax on people who are bad at math.

Poll should have included an option

I already drive an EV, and my next one will be EV too.

That is what applies in my case.

Known at least a Colonel where someone tried to do that to him....unfortunately for the offender, he has to finish his ride at gunpoint.

IN ANY EVENT, be it clothes, be it cars, one size does not fit all and we should not let them pigeon hole us all into one.........or tell us that our fears are foolish.

I have 3 gas vehicles. The 2017 and 2020 are probably the last we will have to buy since my wife is retired and I will be next year. My 1974 Nova is my retirement project, though I started on it early. We have no use for an EV, they are great for people with a short commute that never take road trips, but they are not practical for us. Just last week we did a 10 day road trip, over 3 states. We were averaging 32 mpg in the Outback and our range is about 500 miles. We drove as much as 370 miles a day with only a 5 minute rest stop or two and saw very few chargers along the way, none at any rest areas.

You can't be serious in this? If EVERYONE gets a doubled paycheck, what exactly is gained?

Have you ever heard of inflation? The market will simply adjust. You can't just raise taxes in a vacuum.

Do you understand this?
