Per a doctor being interviewed--RSV is widely known to harm infants and can be fatal for them. He's never even heard of an adult getting it badly enough to need hospitalization. Mostly it's just a type of cold.

And the articles about the new vaccine don't talk about how many lives it will save--they talk about how much money the vaccine will make.

They're not even pretending it's about health anymore.
I looked this up the other day actually and many more elderly adults die from RSV than infants, I was shocked. I’ve never heard of it in adults, either. They have zero way of knowing how many lives it might supposedly save. There is no way to even begin quantifying it.

Again I don't think so.

I think Dems still know in the USA medical debt is inevitable for anybody who has a medical crisis.

The Democrats I know that think things are better -- are those people who couldn't get any coverage before the ACA. They now get some health insurance.

The ACA does not make health care cheaper for ALL -- it does make healthcare affordable fore more people or more accessible.

I think there are real problems with the ACA and it needs fixing but there is no desire to make it better by the right and the left can't do it without the right.

How convenient and timely !

This winter we had an "unprecedented surge" of RSV in adults and it was all over the MSM.

And here comes Moderna to the rescue with an RSV vaccine for adults.

They had 2 years and did nothing. The Dems won't even speak about ACA anymore.

And now the same "prevent medical bankruptcies" is being used for the "mediacare for all" policy.
Obamacare won't get repealed because there is nothing left; nationalizing health insurance with mandates got rid of everything else.

That's literally every insurance company, pharmaceutical company and for profit hospital in the United States. A portion of your hard-earned dollars you pay for "healthcare" is used to purchase art, beautiful corporate offices and distributed to shareholders via dividends.

Up until 2020, it has always been "they can charge what they want to recoup R&D" but somehow, now, those same people are crying about Moderna making money on COVID vaccines. Let's not pick and choose who is entitled to a fat paycheck depending on the drug offered.

Don't you just love "nationalized health insurance" .....NO MORE CHOICE
Well, you can choose not to get vaccinated. Then, when you get really sick, don't apply for any public assistance if you are debilitated and can't work etc.

You don't have to get the shot but you are still paying for it....taxes.
And it's not an either/or...get the shot or get a debilitating illness.

How does RSV make you "debilitated" ?

It's for the over 60 crowd at high risk. They are already retired and already sick with something that puts them at high risk.

Got rid of everything else?

How many people are on ACA -- not everyone?

Taxes isn't how you pay for it -- health insurance premiums.

BUT like the flu shot I think it is a 'loss leader' for CVS, Target, etc.

They offer free flu shots to drag you into the store and hope you will spend money on all the other stuff.
