James Dresnock

His story is informative.
Ah yes, one of Simon Whistler's channels. I don't know anyone else who watches any of Simon Whistler's channels except me.

James Dresnok's case is quite interesting. Like Travis King, he two was a soldier who just went over the line. Alot has changed since Dresnok did this. Back when Dresnok did it, the USA was embarrassed by this and didn't tell the public about this.

James Dresnok went into the military, not out of a sense of patriotism. He did it because he basically had no other options. Thanks to his dysfunctional upbringing, he was basically uneducated. He eventually hated life in the military, and proved to be a bad soldier. Like Travis King, James Dresnok was facing a court martial. Dresnok ,broke, having no one back in America to go home to, and having no ability to survive outside of the military, he walked towards North Korea. He didn't care if he lived or died. Eventually, Dresnok became like a celebrity in North Korea. He got better housing, food and alot of things he never got in America. Granted, he was used as sa propaganda props. However, being given food, housing, and some money at the behest of the government was something Dresnok would turned down. He got food during the North Korea famine while the rest of the country starved.

Travis King, I don't know for sure that he will get. However, if he gets the same treatment that Dresnok got, it will be a loss for America. When court-martialed soldiers somehow evade justice in such a cowardly way, it sets a bad precedent.

Well the negotiations have started. Let's see how many global terrorists and international arms dealers will go free out of it.

Black American priviledge: when you literally run to a foreign country, only for a bunch of white folks to neogtiate your safe return.

The UN Command and North Korea have initiated talks over the case of US soldier Travis King who sprinted across into the North, said the deputy commander of the US-led command overseeing the Korean war truce.

If he wanted to go there in the first place, maybe he doesn't want to leave.

Not really "negotiations", yet.
North Korea acknowledged the reach out by the United Nations Command regarding the King case, but they aren't discussing anything at this point.

What he wants at this point is immaterial. It's what NK wants and what the US will negotiate over.

Since there is an election next year, it makes this politically tricky.

That article says absolutely nothing about negotiations. Only that talks have started between the UN command and North Korea and that the primary concern of the UN is King’s welfare. It sounds like they are asking North Korea for a welfare update on King's condition.

Negotiations may very well happen, but that is a long way down the road, and I doubt terrorists or arms dealers will be part of the negotiations. Unless you have some specific names of people who might come up.

Talks are typically synonymous with negotiations. And unless you want riots, Biden will succumb to BLM/Antifa pressure to release someone dangerous in exchange for his freedom.

A "welfare check" at this point is laughable. Of course he's going to claim "everything is just fine" under the threat of torture.

See Brittney Griner (released via Biden for a Russian arms dealer now arming Russia with Iranian drones) and Bowe Bergdahl (released via Obama for 5 terrorists)

No groups are pressuring him to negotiate. He went WILLINGLY. It's nothing like Griner.

We don't have any North Koreans in custody, dangerous or not.

Okay but how many North Korean arms dealers are in US custody to be exchanged? Again unless you have a specific named person, it doesn't seem like a likely scenario.
